Sorry for never getting back to you---my uniforms came from years of collecting parts and putting them together. And that was just for a company-grade officer's uniform--for something like a Marshal, you would probably have to settle for a reproduction (still expensive). And if you're a small guy like me, forget it! Smaller uniforms at higher ranks are very rare.

the ww2 expert my dad knows who did this war tour helped Spielberg with saving private Ryan! theres pictures of the two of them together on the beaches. also he lent his willys jeep to Spielberg to be used later in the film. the old movies are the best though. i really like a bridge too far and ice cold in alex

Wow that's fantastic. I also figure out that Creighton Abrams was a member of that Division. I can tell you i like history as well as about Wars. Anyway do u have a picture of him in Tank Crew uniform? Because i like to try to draw in my sketchpad some U.S Tanker of World War II.

focallength In reply to jcapricorn [2012-06-04 03:23:13 +0000 UTC]
I don't but her mother does. Creighton Abrams was the commander of the 37th Tank Battalion and my roommate's dad was in the 8th Tank Battalion, commanded by Albyn Irzyk.

Battalion commanders were usually a full bird colonel. They arrived at Bastogne in the early morning, I believe.

That he did. My roommate's dad actually got to salute Patton one day when Patton was doing one of his roadside reviews, as it were. Thanks for the watch.
