I don't think it's current state will change with all the staff gone. It's run by the community now and it hasn't fallen into shambles yet so i think it's doing well. They are even adding "updates" with all the mods and addons and such

Wait, dumb question. Are all the staff actually gone, or are they just ghosting but trying to be there like they were when I was active? This makes me kind of worried.

Not sure. But i know since the creator of the game (Kovu) left not much has happened. I think some others might be active but they still don't do much exempt moderate and open and close registration.

It sounds like the staff do not really care about the game anymore but want to keep players satisfied. I don't blame them, because the original creator left with the source code for private reasons, and is probably waiting until FH dies off before he does anything about it. There's not much to do as a mod except search for people who bend the rules, act high and mighty and stuff.
The game was a lot more fun a few years ago because it was new at the time and the community was bursting. Now it's like a wasteland. Like a forgotten indie multiplayer game but still with a big community. Like Neopets.

It's a virtual pet-raising game. You can play games, collect items, take care of your pet, explore the virtual planet of Neopia, and lots of other stuff. It's deemed a kid's game but it was originally a game for more mature audiences. Neopets a really unique game itself.
It used to be really popular in the early 2000's because of advertising and the such. I don't see it in ads anymore, and the site's pretty quiet now. Probably because Viacom sold it to a smaller company.

Not everyone actually. I agree that there is quite a lot of successful people who are assholes to others, I can name a few. Although, there's a lot of good successful people in this world. Oprah, Ellen DeGenres, even Miley Cyrus, and a lot others. You have to look at the world with the cup half full.
