# About me

I'm a young contemporary fine artist based in Swansea. I use art as a way to express myself. Without art our world would be incredibly boring and lifeless. The fact that we can convey thoughts and feelings through one or two brush strokes is simply amazing.

Ever since I can remember I have always loved any kind of drawing, painting or way of creating pieces of art. My first big achievement was being awarded an art scholarship to Ffynone House School when I was eleven. This encouraged me to believe that my work was actually as good as people had been telling me.

I love to experiment and I’m able to produce work using a wide range of media. I particularly enjoy working with acrylic paint on large canvases. I have recently been commissioned to produce a semi-abstract mural for Olchfa School based on school life. I was also asked to create a series of abstract paintings for a private decorative collection. Additionally, I love painting with watercolours, still-life drawing, graphic design and making 3D sculptures using pop-up techniques and origami. In the last few years I have taken up photography and my favourite subjects are landscapes and nature.

I always take any opportunity to visit art galleries for inspiration. My favourite galleries are The Saatchi Gallery and The Tate Modern in London and MOMA in New York. I have been lucky enough to see exhibitions by Picasso, Jackson Pollock, David Hockney and Lichtenstein, among other famous artists. Throughout my time at Olchfa we have studied works from artists such as Kandinsky and Delaunay and it is exciting to get to see some of their pieces in real life.

Art has always been my hobby and I would love to be able to turn it into a career and see others enjoy my work. I will continue to learn and take inspiration from other artists and improve my own techniques.
