i am so pleased to find some well made jewelry on this site! your work is clean and well made. do stick with metal! have you made any more mokume? one of my favorite processes.
as for selling, promote yourself shamelessly. wear your work, gift or sell to friends= walking advertisements. try consigning at stores or galleries that you like. are you interested in selling production work or one of a kind? ebay does seem kind of sketchy and you don't want to undersell. good luck! i'll be watching.

I think that is MILK242 Dory-Mu power.....With maybe a bit of belly thrown in.
They loves da belly!!!! Of course it's not even mine! It's a milk/library babe belly!
ALL HAIL THE BELLY!!!!!

milk242 In reply to MsJ777 [2004-09-24 14:32:27 +0000 UTC]

Anywayz, you've got fantastic belly, MsJ! We've seen it!

It is true that you have seen it, but I think hers (whoever she was) is even better.
Gotta go do situps now....

milk242 In reply to MsJ777 [2004-09-25 05:06:57 +0000 UTC]

Hey, is that true, that, to do belly dancing, you'd better have a little chubby belly???? Not like those supermodel's super flat tummy???? Someone told me that.....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MsJ777 In reply to milk242 [2004-09-25 05:20:06 +0000 UTC]

In the Middle East, that is the way they have always preferred them. Even in the U.S, that was fine in the 70s and 80s. The majority of professional dancers here now are tight and trim, but some of the older, bigger women who have been doing it for ages can still really move! We believe that all women's bodies are beautiful--no matter what the size. In tribal style dancing, I'm seeing a lot of bigger women lately--the costume covers more and the movements are usually less strenuous. The preference in the Middle East might have changed recently, with Western culture being so pervasive.

Hmmm, I see....
I agree with that "all women's bodies are beautiful--no matter what the size" TOTALLY!!!
I saw Fritz Lang's Metropolis last night, and machine-Maria was dancing like belly kinda style (not sure if it is belly dance).... She was amazing! I never seen anything like that before.... (hung on, I have seen Fritz Lang's Metropolis before, so this expression is not true..... )

I totally forgot about that section, so I was like "whatthe...?!" I loved it. Maria, specially bad Maria, looks so amazingly expressive in that film.....

It got started with milk242 thanking you for the fave on "MsJ777". I wandered by and saw it, and she had credited the "power of msj"--I believe it's milkpower, meself--she's just so damn talented. So I told her... then things ran promptly off-track....
