thank ya for the kind comments. yea i don't think i've seen anybody else on deviantart with a panasonic... the thing that makes the LZ5 stand out from its peers is the stabilizer. panasonic is the only one to feature OPTICAL stabilization in entry level point-and-shoots. and hey, i picked mine up at bestbuy for $150 with 6x optical zoom and 6mp! good stuff. my only complaint with the LZ5 is the exceedingly high noise levels make it nearly useless in low light w/o flash.

funny you say that as i've been SLR hunting as my note above says. did you ever buy ur d40x? at this second i'm still toward getting a d80. the thing i would just kill myself over with the 40x is no DOF button, 3/sec burst, couple other itty bitty things...

I think deviantart could very well be the next addition to the cabinet of hugely popular websites (ie. youtube, myspace, etc). Its purpose will be similar to that of flickr--except for art rather than photos.
