Oh man, really? I'm in my second semester of Ancient Greek and loving it, heheheh. I can't take Latin yet though since I used up all of my 100 level classes already OTL Today I translated a simple adaptation of Plato: Gyges and his Magic Ring. XDD

I'm glad you like my stuff! I'm writing chapter 5 of my comics currently, so look forward to more in the future when I'm not too busy with school. XD

Oh yay!

I'm in my third year, heh. the smartest kids in Holland get to choose it
Our latin class has about 25 students since this year, our Greek class has gotten way smaller, from about 30 students to three. I'm the only one in my year who takes both languages.
I also take KCV, which is something like learning about classical culture and recognizing it in modern times and stuff
In my first year of high school we only got mythology and the Greek alphabet

My social studies teacher told us the Gyges storyIt's weird


I do have to say, those Greeks were silly. And they got killed a lot. When we were translating the Trojan war(NOT the Illiad. Yet.) we would ask the teacher every lesson who would get killed that dayXD

Man that's awesome! *_* My Greek class shrunk a lot too, but there are still about 10 people in my class. XD You're so lucky, I never got interesting classes like that in high school. OTL
I have always jumped between languages. In Canada, it's mandatory to take French from age 9-12 or so, (although I was in the US during that time but I still took it anyway until I was 15. XD) Then I took Japanese, and I tried Chinese for a while, but I still haven't become fluent in any language other than English OTL. Too bad nobody speaks Ancient Greek today...

Yep yep, it's true. The Greeks were the sort of people who didn't really like life so much... hahahaha. Not that death was much better. XD

Yeah. You at least have to take English, French and German for three years here, and now i'm also learning Spanish. I really think Ancient Greek is way too difficult for us to speak, it has so much grammar rules!

Hahaha, I don't think speaking ancient Greek would be any harder than speaking English... it's just that no one speaks it anymore, so no one really knows if we're doing it right. People who grew up speaking it would know the rules instinctively. XD; But yeah, today it would be way too difficult. XD;;
