Oh ya know, doing pretty well, just kinda bumming around on my time off.  Nothing too special but its nice to get a bit of dA time in.  How about yourself?  Have a good birthday there?

The time off was because I had requested it.  Working Retail there are certain times when its considered blackout, cant request time off, and that is the holidays of course.  Outside of that time of year its pretty easy to request time off if you want to.  Either use up vacation time or personal days.  All I did really was sit around the house, but it was good for me Id say.    Made a couple of the necklaces you may have seen on FB, got a few doctor appointments in, and kicked some Uruk butt on Shadow of Mordor!  

Going back was kind of my sign though that its time to find something else to do for a job.  Even after having a week off I just did not want to go back to work lol.    Such is life I guess...

Hey so, a month later...  

What happened there was a few things, but mainly there was a new regional manager who was visiting his stores for the first time and after coming in and meeting myself and the store manager of our location he said that I was a nice gal, doing a good job, yadda yadda...  my nose ring is out of dress code.  So, after 11 months of being there, 11 months of being the assistant manager and having it in the whole gosh darn time I was asked to take it out.  I reflected inward, and with other things happening in life I will admit that my mentality was already ok with saying goodbye because my household had been planning on moving so there was already that part of me that had been having to face the idea of saying goodbye.  But anyways, I reflected inward and decided that no, I was not ok with taking out my nose ring!  As silly as that has sounded to some people, I do not expect everyone to relate; my nose ring is a part of who I am, it provides me with confidence and that job required a lot of confidence.  I was not comfortable with taking it out since Id had it the entire time, as well as feeling confused by my co workers have huge tattoos or even full tattoo sleeves and my little tiny nose ring is not ok!?!  So at the time I let it be known that I would not be taking it out and they could consider that my 2 weeks notice if they like  I do miss it.  I cant say I regret my decision, but I do miss the job itself and the atmosphere.  It gave me a new perspective on retail and on the way that teams work in different businesses and those are things I will forever be grateful of, but I like my nose ring damn it and I dont think there was a customer or coworker who gave a darn about me having it lol.

Hey you ^.^  It is so very nice to actually know somebody on dA!  Dont get me wrong, Ive meet some good people through dA, but there have only been a few friends who I also knew outside of the site.  Its been awhile since I made anything, so much of my stuff here is from years ago.  Perhaps this is a good day to open photoshop and see what happens
