That sounds really good, what did you get to shoot? We had a really nice day as well, so I went to my favourite café and drew there for a few hours It's just really fun to draw in other places

I would love to be able to draw but i just don't have the patience. I managed to shoot a couple of macro shots of some plants but mainly my two adorable cocker spaniels having fun in the sunlight! Just adding them now x

Hehe well I have seen some nice macro shots in your gallery already, so I am curious to see the new ones For some reason macro shots just never cease to fascinate me. They often show us things that we walk by every day, but from a really different perspective.
Drawing takes patience, that's true, but then again you don't become a professional photographer over night, either. It all takes some time and practice, maybe the one more than the other, but still...if you would like to draw, pick up the pencil

Thank you (: Well the only macro shot i got today is this: [link] the rest im just about to save and upload.
Your right about everything taking time and patience to achieve. That's quite an inspiring way to look at it to be honest. Perhaps i just need to find a particular style of my own that will help me learn, if that makes sense? I always want to draw, i'd like to turn some of my photography into drawings so i might give that a go.
xx

Oh, haha That was actually one of the macros from you that I looked at, when pondering on which one to write a critique I didn't realise, that you had actually submitted that just a little before I looked at it
But yeah, in this one too I really enjoy the tones, they are beautiful
I am not sure if style is something that one needs to worry about that early, if at all, really. It probably just comes automatically over time. There isn't really a short cut, I am afraid, hehe. Which maybe is the reason, why many people refrain from drawing, because you do have to learn all the basics like perspective, shape, form, light and so on...and you really never stop. But to me this challenge is fun, and watching one's own progress can be quite delightful. Haha, now and then I dig up some old drawings from a year or more ago and wonder what the hell I was doing there
If you want to draw, there's no reason not to try it Just don't expect overnight sucess, because then it only gets frustrating. But if you invest time into it, there is no way not to improve

Hehe, would love to get a critique!
You are right, and i guess the phase: practice makes perfect comes into it quite alot! I will be giving it a go, just scribbling in my spare time. After all there is no harm in trying! xx

Haha well I wrote you one yesterday, I think before we started talking Sorry, I thought you had already noticed I dunno where they show it now, the few I got used to pop up right in my feedback section, but maybe now it comes up only under 'critiques' in the message center. deviantArt can be straaaange sometimes
No, there certainly is no harm in scribbling And maybe scribbling at first is a good way to start, because it allows you to find out what you have the most interest in...and then when you got that pinned, you can practice that in a more targeted way, maybe.
And after all, everyone has different goals. I want to make a living off images at some point, so I'm really trying to find ways to motivate myself and all, and get at least four hours of drawing / painting done every day, if not more

Nope it's not come up anywhere for me?
Cool i hope that goes well! I know someone who paints for a living his art is [link] amazing!

That is super strange. Hmm. Because I can even see it when I click "view critique" under my recently given ones I wrote on your photo "a new beginning"....does this link bring it up for you? -> [link]
And thanks for the link, I am having a look Although by painting for a living I meant that more as in working in a postproduction or game company and painting for them, thereby earning my living I don't think I could live right off my artwork, especially since it's mostly digital and with me being but at the beginning of my artistic journey
