But yeah, it has it's ups and downs, but I definitely see God bringing what we got from LAUP to our campus.
God has been powerfully moving in our fellowship this year, and Im excited to see what more God has for us

Illustrator more in a design sense.
Because most stuff is to make ads for the ucibookstore.
I was also interested in providing illustration type of graphics, but u gotta do the other stuff too u know? xD
I contacted the manager, and he saw my work and asked me to fill up an application and have an interview.
U dont need any professionals for a recommendation, i never had a job before this so..!

I use photoshop and a wacom tablet.
I used to use painter X, but now im more used to photoshop.
Sometimes i use art rage as well

i'm looking to buy a graphics tablet but my budget is pretty tight, do you have any suggestions? also, do you just scan your sketches and then color them in? or do you freehand it in photoshop with the tablet?

well, i'm not sure where to get cheaper tablets, i do understand that a tablet is expensive. the standard brand is wacom, and they do have the bamboo series, but these are made more for recreational or business purposes. you could always look for one in amazon or ebay for a cheaper price.
about my method of drawing i prefer to sketch it and then scan my drawings. sometimes i freehand on photoshop directly, but they tend to look a lil more clumsier

Whoa informatics, is that related to statistics? I've never heard of it before XDD I'm majoring in nursing science, it's a pretty small major since they only accept a certain number of students.
Is informatics like that too? It seems rare. ;O
I was thinking of the digital art minor but yeah..I'm worrying about surviving my science courses LOL.
Ah thanks! I really like your work, do you use a tablet? You're really good at employing depth in your pictures! Haha our styles are so different. XD I wish my drawings gave off a more mature air.

Informatics is more related to computer science, but it does involve statistics. Yeah, informatics is sort of underground still xD, i heard there's not much people taking it, is rare xD.
Nursing science? that's a medical area im assuming right? I heard that artists tend to do well in the medical field for some reason, that's what my counselor told me.
Thanks for the comment ^^, I do own a wacom intuos tablet. Our styles are truly different, i love the water color effect and the more advanced anime feel to some of your work.

Oh wow comp science. I am terrible at all things related to html, scripting, java...you name it.
Nursing science is related to the medical field, yeah. It's kind of intense but not as intense as pre-med.
For some reason I can't break out of the water colour effect. It's kind of funny because people sometimes ask me what watercolour pigments I use. XD
Oooh I signed up for mesa too! Yeah that has the visual arts theme, I didn't sign up for that one, although I'm starting to regret it. :[
When the school year starts maybe we could meet up and have a sketching session 8D If we both get mesa it would be even more convenient haha.

I am a little concerned with this computer science, it does sound very challenging.
I once tried to achieve a water color effect in my drawings, but i guess i just dont have the understanding to make them look convincing.
An sketching session would be awesome xD, it would also be cool to compare some techniques of drawing the computer. Cause i still have to learn some basics in photoshop that i know im not taking advantage of.. ^^"

Just study hard. ;D And if it's not for you, switching majors is always an option.
Using a soft brush + using textures does the trick. I can't paint irl since I never took art lessons so I reallllyyy suck at traditional media. I suck at fine art in general LOL so if I took AP art I would have died.
8D Yayy haha do you use a sketchbook? I always doodled on my notes I should start using a sketchbook to keep things more organized. I actually have a mini tutorial in my gallery somewhere.
Try open canvas, SAI, and painter sometime, they're great imaging programs. Although I only use open canvas because my laptop doesn't have a lot of RAM.

Im trying to use a sketchbook lately, cause i used to doodle on my assignments as well, but i get frustrated when i get a good drawing, but they are on school notes G_G

My parents wanted me to focus on academics and violin. I'm more confident in my violin playing actually. T_T() Since I"m actually formally trained in that instrument XDD
I don't think my style is very unique. D: I just like to use shortcuts ahaha. I hate cleaning up my lines and all of my works look kind of sketchy even if I try to make the colouring/lines really clean anyway.
I also recycle the colours I use, because I'm RIDICULOUSLY picky about my colour pallet. ex) I will never ever use shades of sea foam green
I feel so pressured to draw something 'good' in a sketchbook because the paper is so nice, so I prefer doodling on notes. >_> because notebook paper is cheap and crappy 8DD

Haha xD, I understand that u may feel pressured to draw somethin nice on a skectchbook xD, But i try to only make it naturally, i try to forget about the "pressure". It just hinders my workflow.

Most of the pieces in my gallery were done directly on the computer. I don't like scanning things because traditional art doesn't translate well onto the computer for the most part.
