Well the assistant of Rick and Morty has a Tumblr and she checks it every so often and I heard that she would show some of the works she finds to the crew. There is also Twitter, from what I know Rick and Morty and Justin Roiland retweet art so that's one way to get noticed for your amazing talents.
I think they also hire people from tumblr based on people's art blogs sometimes. o 3 o
