I didn't get to go but, tomorrow I am for sure.
I see tons of maids there, even in the dead of winter but generally when I try to take their picture they hide. What's the deal with the maids there anyway, I mean I've heard of the maid cafes but never been to one.

some kind of fetish for the computer/anime-manga freaks named 'akiba-kei' coming from akihabara. the guys with the thick glasses long hair and backpack. mostly you see them in checkered shirts. because they love the cute girls in the animes, they love to see these 'cute' maids. I've never been to one either but I saw footage and so on about them in jap. talk shows. they are loud and try to be extremely cute so when you get your drink you have to do some kind of parapara dance or say 'magical words' with them so the juice gets 'oishii'... apparently, they also have cosplay café, tsundere café (meaning they first threat you extremely cold like you're a nuisance, and when you want to go they excuse themselves address you as big brother and try to be like a little sweet sister who loves you but is just to shy to show it), historical cafés and little brother cafés too! I just saw a picture of a little brother cafe once on an official site and it was extremely disturbing. sweet little round faced boys work there... don't know if they still exist. japan and their fetishes...!!

That's awesome, I don't believe I've ever talked to someone from that country. My best friend is in Germany, and a woman I've known quite a while lives in Norway. I have a few friends sprinkled all over Europe and the middle east.
