There is really a thing with your culture I'm in love with: you seems to have skills for happiness ! My father has a lady who works for him at home in Cyprus, and she's from Phillipines too. And well, I just love her so much !!! Smiling and singing all day long... even when she's working ! 
Plus, your country seems absolutely gorgeous, so I really wish I could go there someday

Believe me, I'm not missing Paris ( at all !!! ) except maybe for the food... didn't ate japonese or thai food since 3 years now 
So, my advice, enjoy all the good food you can find here, and hang on by smiling the more you can!
Oh, also, my little "thing" to be happier in town was to think that, even though we don't always see it, the natural resources there are : human being... So sometimes in the streets or subway, I was looking at people thinking they are each so unique & so wonderful inside, as if they were gods and goddesses who are unaware of their beautiful potencial
Also, sometimes, I closed my eyes ( in bus or subway ) and imagine a little flower and grass growing under my feet. Then, let my imagination grow this, till I see a whole jungle in the place !
Everything was good to take to feel more zen in places like big big town... to me 
So, I hope you'll like my little ideas to be happy in town when you're a country girl
