it's a series of images exported as an animated .gif -- same as my Dev ID.
I used Adobe Premier to export the images into Image Ready -- then pieced it together.

I think your icon is really disturbing, and a bit inconsiderate, i know i'm not just speaking for myself when i say that i dont want to see that sortof thing when i am just browsing through some nice art.
there are younger members of deviant also, who shouldnt have to be exposed to something so horrible. it is sickening, i dont want to be that annoying person who's all angry
i'm not , and i'm curious to know what you think about it, do you care that it might upset sensitive people or disturb people? i mean, its a human head being exploded like it was a pumkin, its horrific, and i know i really wish i hadnt seen it, animating like a little fun animation, over and over again.
and i'm stunned at how many people think it rocks, and is cool. its not like your even getting peoples attention to say...hey...guns should be banned or some rightious political statement.
*sigh* but its me against a million desensitised individuals.

my avatar is from a Sci Fi movie called "Scanners" from the 80's
I admire your passionate and well thought out comment on 'de-sensitization' and 'younger-viewers'.
However -- as you have the right to state your opinion on such things, I also have the right to have such a 'cool' avatar from a movie I really liked growing up. The real problem would be trying to censor this sort of thing -- as you may be asserting -- I say, let's give 'the younger viewers' and 'de-sensitized millions' some credit here -- this is nothing more than a special effect. If they enjoy it -- fine. If not -- well they (and you) can simply surf another channel...

I'm not sure how i would look in to it, but i have a feeling that is real footage from an actuall event, a news reporter had there head blown up live on television. I'm so sure, becuase i've seen it before. and thats why I got emo when i saw it....if i hadnt seen it before i probably would have put it down to special effects....becuase i wouldnt have imagined a head could do that.....but it does.
the film "scanners" was using that footage. thats my theory anyway. but i am certain it is real.
