I asked for a commission for an original tattoo design on fiverr and was very excited at first with the design I was given, but after a little detective work I found that she had just watermarked one of your images. I thought the design was awesome, but was disappointed to find that she was trying to take advantage of another artist. If short, it was believed that the mirrors are gateways to spiritual realms, and they reflected one's souls. Vampire were walking corpses, not living beings, and thus, have no soul. Therefore, they are not reflected.
Nevertheless, this is not the comic where I take some beliefs and apply them to my characters. The lore is, people observed some strange things (like no reflections for vampires) and built their own stories and lore around, creating a coherent (for those times) reasons. It might not be the truth.
They might have seen a ghoul, say, walking the cemeteries looking all scary, and imagine an unread creature that eats corpses, while in reality that ghoul was just some sort of an animal who disliked light and people, and thus chose to live in the cemetery, close enough to people to steal food from them, as they are an easy source. That sort of thing.

She can make a decent job. Mostly, you'll have to look for people who work with colour really good, since it has been proven we use very complex colour mixes to most tattooists.
The best to ever work with our designs, however, resides in Moscow.
