Of course the pen comes with it. Wouldn't it be awful: "Here pay a ton of money for your tablet. Now, pay more to actually use it." MMM...I'm not sure I have a wacom Bamboo Fun and it's pretty cool. Rachel just got one recently...which one did she get i think that she got...the connect one? And looking at them now, I know it's a bit expensive, but I really think the Bamboo Create would be the best one for a few reasons. From the sound of the description alone it feels like it was designed more for digital drawing and painting rather than other digital tasks (to be honest though, I didn't know people actually buy tablets to take notes and stuff, but when Jon and I were at the media lab at his school i was using the cintiq they have there [it is wonderful]. On the way out I noticed that the guy i had checked in with was on his way out as well, and he had an itty bitty tablet, but when i asked him about it he said he didn't draw and that he wished he could be artsy. I asked about the tablet and he said he just does everyday stuff with it like jot things down. amg.)

Anyway, I guess what i'm saying is that for the price you get more canvas area. It aslo seems the most like the one I have. (maybe I'm biased) Are you thinking of getting a tablet?

Intuos is cool too, I used to have one before I really understood how tablets work. (which was a waste of money. My people should have gotten me a cheaper starter tablet)From what i know they are more advanced or have more settings. or more programmable buttons?? You would have to ask someone with more experience.

I kinda wish they would start making wireless tablets.

I wish I could have Cintiq... Those are gifts from God.
And, yes! I plan to get one for Christmas. I think the Create one is best, too... It's cheapish and sounds functional for a little n00b like myself.

And, yeah! How come they have little gifts-from-God Cintiqs, but no wireless tablets?!

I have no idea. Well...actually i don't know how cintiqs came about, but I know they are used in professional industry for animation and games.

I actually remember the, like, week Cintiqs came out because Mallory's school were their Guinea pigs for them! ISN'T THAT FREAKING AMAZING. And, yes! Cintiqs were designed to be as if you were using traditional media and omg they just make me dead all of everywhere

I don't have $40! I'm getting this for Christmas, not the end of the world (well, I guess you could argue...)!
