Hello there!
Are you still active?

Unreal Engine 4Hello there, everyone!
I just want to talk to you about the perhaps most popular programming tool out there: Unreal Engine 4.
Game Engine Technology by Unreal
As you may, or rather probably, already know, it really is useful for creating homemade games, fangames included.
I am not so sure that I can tell you anything about it that you do not already know, but I think it could be useful to get people to become more aware of great media that despite its greatness is unfortunately for us is very obscure.
For example; Those who enjoy the French animated series of Galactik Football, and have good enough computing skills, could probably create a Soccer-themed Sports-RPG based on the cartoon.
Still, some people might compare it to Level-5's Inazuma Eleven franchise, as well as perhaps the two Mario-themed soccer games that Next Level Games co-developed with Nintendo SPD Group No. 3.

Well, yes, I am active. And I'm the last person whom you'd want to talk programming with. Why?

The MacVenture series was like a predecessor to Investigation Visual Novels, especially those who were considered Puzzle-Adventure games.

Spirit Channeling or Healing Touch?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kimishima-naomi In reply to Bengtzone [2016-12-11 05:36:32 +0000 UTC]

Let's go with both.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Bengtzone In reply to kimishima-naomi [2016-12-11 10:51:55 +0000 UTC]

I believe that if a male (doctor) gifted with the Healing Touch were to mate with a (female) Spirit Medium, then it is possible for their children to be born with either, neither or even both the Healing Touch and Spirit Channeling, REGARDLESS of the offspring's gender.
However, the collision between those two mystical abilities might such offspring with an affinity for the mystic arts, making them a modern-age sorcerer.

What is your opinion regarding my theory?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kimishima-naomi In reply to Bengtzone [2016-12-11 11:29:31 +0000 UTC]

There is no information regarding heritability of the Healing Touch. It is never spoken of as something passed through a bloodline, only as a "gift". The rumors about it descending from Asclepius himself, while tempting, are most likely baseless.

Furthermore, the "mysticism" behind the Healing Touch is subject to debate. The doctors that have used it make no claims deeming it supernatural. On the contrary, my opinion is that it's merely an intense state of concentration. Tachypsychia, if you'd like.

As for the Kurain Channeling? Well, I am aware of no mediums but the Fey clan, in which only females have exhibited these abilities. Not going to make any claims about sex linkage here, but the speculation would be interesting if utterly unscientific.

Nothing suggests that a child of a medium and a healing touch user would be somehow special, but this is an interesting theory.

One more thing - I have to discourage you from using "mate" to refer to, even a hypothetical, union of people. It's rather disrespectful.

kimishima-naomi In reply to Bengtzone [2016-12-11 12:34:00 +0000 UTC]

That's pure speculation, sorry. Check the phrasing.

We don't know much about Dr. Stiles' parents, and nothing at all about the families of other HT users. Furthermore, it's based on the false premise. To quote Robert Hoffman: "I don't know how long this gift has existed, but, the Greeks believed such doctors were descended from Asclepius." So, nothing indicates this ability is heritable.
