what kinda desktop do you use? im looking to buy one for flash+sai use, im just having a hard time finding the perfect one!!;;

i have both an older asus laptop and a surface pro 4! i'm not sure what model the asus is, exactly, but it's on the larger side and the specs are fairly good -- i got it with the intention of gaming. it's really slowed down over the years, though, and i only really use it for video games and for drawing with my bamboo tablet. i got the sp4 pretty recently; it's the cheapest model, i believe, but it's great for drawing and adobe programs. it's essentially like having a cintiq for half the price -- the pen pressure and tracking is great, and the resolution is crazy good. i use flash and photoshop on it, which work fairly well; however, they do slow it down quite a bit and get the fan going, so i wish i could afford a model with more storage. i used sai on my old laptop for years, but i find that the surface is much more glitchy and laggy with the program when drawing on the screen, so i've started using medibang and photoshop more, which work perfectly fine. i believe there's a way to fix the sai problems; i just haven't gotten around to doing it myself. i also don't use my wacom tablet on the sp4, as it resets the settings and it gets annoying to fix them every time.
overall, you want a good graphics card, good resolution, and storage/ram that can handle large programs. there are a lot of helpful resources online that talk about what you need to be able to handle programs like photoshop! around 8gb ram is probably ideal, and ssd is much faster, if you can afford it. you also want to consider what else you'll be doing with it -- think about weight (if it's a laptop) and what else you'll be using it for (such as gaming). you can get more out of a desktop for much less money, so that's great if it works for you. perhaps even consider building your own desktop, or having a friend help you! you can get a great computer for much cheaper without sacrificing what you need, and it isn't actually all that hard.
