Yes amazing artwork...A style I'd like to emulate myself...what do you use for shading? do you draw light pencil, then do shading then ink in details in that order? also what type of ink pen do you use that doesn't get clogged up...thanks for any info you provide...

For my process I tend to sketch out some thumbnails first and then do a rough drawing with either pencil or ink.Β Then I lay another piece of paper over top of that one and trace out a cleaner drawing. Sometimes this second drawing will the final one, sometimes I'll do another cleaner drawing still. I tend to do the line work first and then add the markers afterwards.
For pens, I have DR pilot Drawing Pen, often size 02, 03 or 05 and recently I have Pigma Micron pens "Archival Ink".Β I think the latter are a bit better.
For markersΒ I have a few different brands, Letraset Promarkers (Ice Grey and Warm Grey), or Winsor & Newtown Brushmarkers/Promarkers

Also the Gnomon Workshop has some good tutorials, from him and others.Β I think they have a free one-month trial for their subscription model where you can check out a few videos.

I do like photography, although I've been doing less and less since I finished my college course in it. I still do the odd photo, although I'm probably going to concentrate on my traditional and digital art for the time being.
