Bruges is one of my favorite cities. Thank you for your birthday wishes and I'm working on building my heaven in a 5,000 sq. foot warehouse. And I'm doing the lighting design on the play "Cabaret." So I am hoping this year will be better than the last. Cheers, Koop

I appreciate your comment although I think you are being over dramatic :) (Smile) If after 40 years of trying to perfect your trade someone says the same thing to you, you will understand. My Dutch/German ancestry doesn't allow me to have an ego about what I do, I just do it (and Nike stole that phrase from me LOL). And by the way I would feel horrible if you did throw your camera away. Taking photographs is like many other forms of artistic endeavor, its therapy for the soul and a escape from the mundane part of everyday life. Photography has been my passion and obsession for almost 48 years. I have shot a lot of bad photos in that time, but I have been lucky enough that I have also made a living doing this for 48 years. In the twilight of my career I have often thought of moving to the Netherlands. I always feel at home when I'm there and seeing as my last name is Middelkoop i feel connected. Thanks again for your comment and happy holidays. Maybe our paths will cross in Amsterdam someday. Cheers, Koop

Thank you for the affirmation. Sometimes I don't feel like much of a artist, but then I get lucky and make something I like. The last 3 shoots have been very good for me. But now I'm on to the next shoot and trying to out do myself.
