I make all by minolta z10 I'm waiting now for my new Canon 350D. Nothing special but it's better than z10

To get a better camera is wonderful for every fotographer I hope, your new machine will arrive soon

However I've seen here brilliant fotos made with cheap or old cameras. I learned here, what wonderful things a creative mind can do with cheap equipment.

Most of my favourites are underground shots from unknown people and not high tech work from super popular fotographers

You know... I tkink Digital SLR will give me more perspective than a compact camera. As we all know is best to start with cheap stuff. And with the flowing skills to raise the bar of equipment. Right? I have some experience with digital SLR cameras, but it is not enough to buy expensive hardware. I plan to start from the cheapest and realize all what this camera can. I think is the better option. And what u think?

I totally agree with you.

However I'm so new to all this, that my opinion has little weight

I think you will have enormous fun with the much bigger sensor in the 350D. Probably you will enjoy very much learning to use the full potential of your new equipment.

I chose my specific cameras because size is an issue. I do a lot of concert photography and so I need a good performance to size ratio
