Currently a forensic psychologist in California, my fascination with the human mind and its myriad colors drives my character art. As a fan of the anime art style, I spent the beginning of my artistic life concerned with emulating a certain look, only recently to have shed that burden to adopt a look I feel is my own.Current Residence: Fresno, CA, USA

Its such a kick to see how someone else interprets one's characters.
Btw, I see that you're a forensic psychologist.
I envy the insight you must have on the inner workings of the human mind.
A character's mind and motivation are always the things I struggle most with to figure out.
Just recently I needed a "villain" for a story I'm developing,
but just couldn't imagine why a person would act in such a way as to harm other people and not care.
I did eventually manage to dig up a strong enough motivation for the character's actions and apathy,
but it's a struggle to get into a mindset so different from my own.

Definitely genuine villains are the ones most struggle to identify with, but there is a small percentage of people out there who really just are disconnected from others. It's a very particular neurological dysfunction, and the result is what shrinks call "psychopathy." It is the scientific version of what most simply call evil.
