Hi there, Zach from Canada, I'm Tiffany from America, and I just read and commented on a few of your poems. I used to write that sort of poetry to, back when I was plagued by tormenting thoughts, without Christ and without hope in the world. You've caught my attention, and I believe that Jesus loves you so much that He inspired me to reach out to you.

I never know quite how to respond to these kinds of messages. I know you mean well and I'm sure you believe in what you're selling and I just don't know how to politely tell you I'm not interested.
I've been through the whole church system, born and raised, I knew the bible inside out, I paid my tithes, I was baptized, I was involved in my youth group, the whole song and dance. I wanted to believe in it, I really did. But after years of going through the motions and feeling nothing, I realized I just don't believe in it. I respect it for what it is, my parents are still devout Christians and I have no problems with them, or they with me. But god (if he doesΒ exist) has never deigned to show himself or prove himself to me, and I don't have any more time to waste playing hide and seek. A god who hides is no god of mine.
I hope this reply hasn't offended you, I just don't want you to waste your time. I am a prodigal son by choice, and have no plans to return to my father's house.

Oh Zach, I know you may not be interested now, but I had to tell you... The Father is everything. His goodness leads to repentance and I know you'll come to see who He is as I have. I messaged you as I did because the darkness only gets darker, and I wanted to be a reminder of the light, Jesus, so when it gets so dark you can hardly stand it, you'll know who to turn to, the God of all peace. I think I've seen some tormenting thoughts represented through your poetry, and though you are not now interested, I wanted to tell you of the perfect love of Christ, the faith in which casts out all that involves torment, so at some later time someone (God) will remind you. I will pray for you. Every prodigal comes to the point of need and that need, usually drives them back to the loving, all-sufficient Father.
