And also, I dunno anything about gimp2, but I do know a program called Paint.Net. :3 It has a more flash/smoother line look than Artweaver, and makes CGing easy.

nothing...just paint is shit..but if you want to use it, then use it

It's decent freeware for pixellated images, as long as you have the patience and eye for it.
My skills in all other programs have doubled because of the few months I could only use Paint. It teaches that the best pieces almost always come from preplanned artwork-- not 'spur of the moment' drawings.
