Well, we do use these other weird devices to talk to one another, like the pendants. Sometimes you don't even know it's a communication device until it starts, like, chattin' to ya. It's not always pendants, but that seems to be the most common one. Easy to carry about and easy to recognize, ya know? (Suuuuuuuuure you weren't, dude... Heh, heh!) Well, I'd assume so. The computers we use now on the Moon are a lot more hi-tech than anything I've seen humans using. If you look at even the old ones, like in the ruins under North Ryoshima coast, even those were pretty good, and those were put there, heck, ages ago!
