Quick lil critique here:
"Thou think thou knowest" not "Thou think thy knowest"
The word "thy" in Medieval Euporean language was used to show possession, much like our word "your." So you wuld say "Thy book" or something like that. Not "Thou think thy knowest" Just thought I'd let you know
(this was in reference to thy dA ID, if you were wndering what I wast babbling about... )

Ladies of the Round Table,
I have followed the footsteps of Lady Ghost Duchess to this delightful site (and sight!) I fully encourage all Maids, Maidens, and Ladies of the realm to join and support a group like this. I, also, support your Charter to keep it for the Ladys and Lassies only.

Well, this is "Ladies" of the Round Table so we do ask that one be female to join. All our members are female, we are a sisterhood. However, if you would like to start a brotherhood, a group for guys who are into medieval/renaissance/celtic stuff, I would be more than happy to assist you in that. The two groups would, of course, be affiliated with each other. Just send me a note ~bana-phrionnsa if you are interested in doing that.

Using a club to +fav the work of its members is a violation of site policy and grounds for this club to be banned. You have 24 hours to remove all such work from this club's favorites list.

PhantasmMarquesses In reply to ndifference [2004-02-08 00:46:30 +0000 UTC]
Honestly I do not understand. The members of the club whos work has been favorited was favorited before the member even joined the club. Our favorties are carefully though out by the creators. We are not playing a popularity contest by favoriting a members work. We are doing that because we feel that it should be put as a favorite repesendting alot to the club. So Honestly I dont understand.
I do as well agree that a Note would be more appropriate, though I still dont see how that is a violation. Could you explane it to me more so I can understand what you are talking about. Because right now IM compleatly lost. I dont understand the Problem you are bringing up.
Honestly Im still really struck that you would not confront one of the club leaders but insted posting it on the main page of our club trying to see like giving our club a bad reputation. When I know the creators and members of this club have done nothing to harm anyone and nothing unfair. This club is loved by thoes who are in it and thoes who are not. We are a sister hood and treat everyone with equality.
So if you can please send me a note as to why you feel we have violated something that no one really undertand I would really like that. It is much more nicer than threting the club when we know of nothing that is going on or that you are talking about.
Once again we are not playing favorites in the club. That is not how we work. We are not like that Nore will we ever be. We are a respected club and do not wish to recive a bad reputation when we do not deserve it.
Thank you..

In my experience dealing with clubs, it has always been most efficacious to post comments and warnings so that all members can view it. Perhaps if you had been more attentive, you wouldn't have been in violation of deviantArt's policies regarding clubs and the favorites system. The offense can carry with it a permanent ban. I gave you a warning and let it slide, even though your 24 hour grace period had long expired. Instead of wasting your time delivering lectures about how I should do my job, why don't you get on with whatever it is you people do here and be more careful in the future.

bana-phrionnsa In reply to ndifference [2004-02-08 02:44:17 +0000 UTC]
while it may be "most efficacious", DA policy states that they will use the notes system.. My guess is that the truth is that you were too lazy to use it in your fervor to exert a little power. :eyeroll: More attentive? I cannot find this violation in the policies.. and even if it DOES exist, I still do not believe that there is any way you can accuse us of using this club to fav member's deviations. If that were the case, I am sure you would find Alyssa's works or mine on there. It is a gross exaggeration, not to mention ludicrous, to suggest that we have used this club in that way. Obviously you did not actually take a look around.. I feel that your accusations are unjustified and that you are being extremely rude. (not to mention, I find it tactless and improper that you felt you had to put it on our main page) Wasting my time delivering lectures? Is defending out honor a waste of time? I think not! Just b/c you are administration does not make you right. Maybe you are power tripping, I don't know. I've had a bad week and I don't feel like being particularly kind at the moment.

For One: Im not telling you how to do your job, that is not my place
For Two: I still dont see what we did wrong you have not explaned it to me
For Three: Thank you for giving us the warning and letting us slide
For Four: I am a Part time Student in a Profecinal Binuess College, I do not have all the time in the world to keep and eye on my club site. Im really under alot of stress right now and I dont need this! You have brought me deeply into tears on a day Im supposta be happy.
I never EVER Would do anything to anger anyone here on DA! I do not have plans to.
As For: As for teh 24 hour grace period, you have to remember being online is not all the creators of this club does. We have lives we need to attend to. Like school, church, family, loved ones. Some of us dont have 24 hours to do something in. Im sorry you feel we have failed to comunicate here.
Also I would like to point out that the rules state this:
Violations are defined as specific attacks on an individual deviant or group. Violation of community ettiquite policy will result in a warning, sent via the deviantART notes system. Administration will take further steps, including banning an account, as situation deems necessary.
In a Note...*^*points up*^* It says note, unless im reading this compleatly wrong...But I swear it says note.
Now listen. Im not trying to tell you how to run your binuess but I do know you made several of the club members really upset about this situation. You have hurt my feelings by telling me I am not Attentive. I am as attentive as I can be and Im stuggling right now to get my life on track.
I apologize to you, the DA, to the members of this club. And I will be more careful in the future...heh..If Im still here.

hmm I think a note would have been more appropriate... Anyway, I took the only fav I saw that was by a member.. I guess thats what you were refering to? Even though I don't exactly see how that is "using a club to fav its member's work" persay, seeing as how 99% of the favs were/are non-members. Oh well. *stretches lazily*

I just copied it from the note... but I checked it and realized the note didn't say that.. Not real sure where I got moon goddess. Guess its been a long day. I usually associate with the moon goddess b/c of my name, so maybe my subconscience was playing tricks. Its really late here... *~*hits self with keyboard*~*
Actually there is more than one celtic moon goddess:
Aine of Knockaine - Ireland; moon goddess and patroness of crops and cattle; associated with the Summer Solstice. Also Aine Cliach, and Cnoc Aine.
my personal fav:
Cerridwen - Welsh; goddess of death, initiation, inspiration, magic, regeneration. Known as a moon goddess, Great Mother, and grain deity; wife of the giant Tegrid. She brewed a magical potion of wisdom in her cauldron, and forced the young Taliesin to stir it for a year and a day. When he accidentally swallowed the last three drops, he was transformed into a bard. Welsh bards once called themselves Cerddorion "sons of Cerridwen," meaning they received their initiation from Cerridwen herself. Variants: Caridwen, Ceridwen.

How well I know that feeling...@__@ *is getting groggy herself* *pokes self awake*
That's true...I guess it depends on which country you're from...I got certain Celtic ideals and knowledge from mine, but there are always different variations. ^__^
I don't really have a preference. They're all pretty fascinating. My Da is an archeologist; he studies things like the Picts and the Arthurian theories, and the Saxons, etc. Basically all the stuff that has recently become popularized due to this new movie (super good stuff it is, as well! Clive Owen, Ioan Gruffudd, Mads Mikkelsen, and Hugh Dancy all in the same film...*thumbs up* Bit historically inacurate, though...). It's really quite interesting. I think I'm going to go into archeology as well. Sorry, off topic...*talks too much*
