*faints*
So much flatter for such an ordinary picture
I must admit... I'd never hoped anyone would pay so much attention to my pictures... I'm not as great as so many others

I like paying attention to stuff I fave
The point (for me) is not how great you are, but the things you see that no one else does.

Many thanks for the recent faves of "Medieval Sanctuary" and "Rievaulx Abbey" the faves and the continued watching are very much appreciated.
I was interested in your comment about literature deviations. I must admit I just delete and never look at them. When you're trying to catch up on several deviation stacks containing about 10000 pieces of work there's sadly just not the time to give them their deserved consideration!

You're very welcome! I really like your photos, so expect more faves in the future
I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one who has a problem with literature on deviantart. I guess that our browsing and faving habit reflects our interest in visual arts. Then, there's the banal and well known clichΓ© that pictures are more grokkable than words but, as David Foster Wallace pointed out in several occasions, "many clichΓ©s, so lame and unexciting on the surface, actually expresses a great and terrible truth". Nevertheless, I'm planning an experiment involving very small pieces of literature: we'll see how that will work out. (Notice also that, since we're somehow interacting, you actually took some time to read and think about this comment. Would you have spent the same time reading and thinking about some literature on deviantart? I surely never did, and that probably speaks volumes)

Thank you - I shall look forward to more faves then!!
I guess I would make an effort to read the literature of someone I was watching or who was watching my work - it would seem the "nice" thing to do - and it would seem also that your theory of having prior contact with someone carries weight. It may even be essential!! Thankfully I've not yet met up with anyone in my watchers/watched list who submits reams of literature! However when it comes to an "unknown" in a stack of hundreds (even thousands on occasions) I delete without even looking!
