My pleasure. Macro photography is great. I have a 100mm 1:2.8 lens but I'm yet to take a photo with it that I really love. Getting the knack for focus is much harder than I expected.

Thanks for adding my pic to your favs

I actually want to go back to that location and do a series of murder and execution photos. There are lots of underground tunnels and stuff there and its as scary as hell....during the day! At night its hyperventilation/panic material.

I have to ask....is your hair dreaded and blue and white like in your photos or is that photoshopped because your hair is so awesome!

i keep them in for a couple months and then i make new sets with new colors its fun

lol I've only just started clowning around with photography....pretty sure you have the same camera as me. Canon EOS 350D (think its called the Rebel XT in america). I really want to get some L series lens before I spend money on getting a model to do my crazy photography projects.

Have you studied photography? So far all my learning has involved buying a camera, pressing its buttons and seeing what happens

hahaha well ive been doing ameture photography for about the last year or so but i just got my Rebel (and yes we have the same camera ) 3 days ago!
before this i had a simple olympus model but i LOVE the rebel
but pressing buttons is EXACTLY where everyone else starts off so you go for it and i like what you're doing soo far!!
and you dont have to pay me so on the off chance you're ever in the midwest let me know and we'll do a shoot hahhaha!

I've been to the states a couple of times but never ventured further than Cali. My sister exhibited her artwork in New York last year and did a big cross country trip to check out lots in the US. Apparently its not all theme parks and mexicans

Its a long long way away for us. Little old New Zealand is a 12 hour flight just to get to LA.

I know the states isnt all theme parks and mexicans....that was just my interpretation of LA and San Diego.

And mexicans are cool. I talked to so many of them while I was there. I had heaps of fun.

As for the "what I do with my camera" - I'm slow at taking pics, slower at editing them, and real slack at uploading them.

Not too much. Just chillin at home, about to curl up in fetal position and attempt to sleep. Played with my camera a bit tonight. Full moon with lots of clouds so I thought I'd try (and fail) to get some decent pics.

My tripod is so full of suck. Note to anyone who decides to take up photography... buy a decent tripod that doesnt wiggle every time you press the capture button.

Oh I get moonburnt often... didnt snap any pics tonight. Stayed back at work and practiced my bass for a couple of hours. I'm sick of only being able to play 1 song (and even then pretty poorly).

I might try and find some of the Sublime bass tabs... know any bands that exploit 5 string basses much?

As for photoshop... you could buy it (its fecking expensive, I should know I just spent thousands on the CS3 master collection) or you could spend 5 minutes on google learning about bit torrent and then "find" a copy on the net.

If you want to spend as little as possible there is also Adobe Lightroom which is specifically for photographers.
I hate to say it but for the sake of learning photoshop...I'd go the bit torrent way as forking out bucket loads of cash when you are going to use less than 10% of the programs capabilities for the first couple of years is madness. I've been using it for close to a decade and I learn something new almost daily.
