Portuguise, Spanish, Italian, French, English and Norwegian.
I also understand Danish, Swidish and Langd'oc (Old provence dialect from southern France).
I can try...but I've never taught anyone.
Which languages do you speak?

Damn....that makes things a lot difficult.
Portuguise has an extremely complicated gramatical structure.

lavashkirri In reply to Zenoxen [2012-04-15 00:02:08 +0000 UTC]
we have three kind of plurals ! :
1- if the word is categorized as male , then add (een) or (oon) according to some rules ( this in the standard Arabic) but in our dialects (most of the Arabic dialects) nowadays we always add (een)
2- if it is feminine ، then add (at)
3- irregular kind of plural .

lavashkirri In reply to Zenoxen [2012-04-15 11:50:05 +0000 UTC]
yeah as I said before we have three kinds of plural two of them are regular and the third is irregular ...
the word god has irregular plural ( but as Muslim we believe there is only one god )
and your example makes me want to clear something .. in Arabic we have in addition to the singular and plural something called dual ( using for two )
so we have : singular , dual , and plural .
I noticed that I start to teach you instead of you teaching me

Wow....
I know that you only beleave in one God...."There is only one God, and Muhammad is His Prophet", isen't that your profession of Faith? I've been learning on Islam for quite a while.
Although I really got curious on how to make the plural of that word
I know....and now...my turn.
In Portuguise, there is only one type of plural....adding one 's' on the end of a word on most words. There are exceptions, though.
So....the word 'Gato' (cat) becames 'Gatos' (Cats)

yeah , I see ...... ok
first of all Arabic sometimes has many words for one meaning , for example the word God there is "Allah"الله , "rab" رب , and "ell-ah" إله
as I said god is irregular plural (in all this words) the first one Allah doesn't have plural actually the second one's plural is "arbab" أرباب , and the plural of "el-ah" is "Ali-hah" ألهه
...
and "rb" sometimes doesn't mean god (in some rare cases) , it's usually depend on the additions to the word , so if you add the word house after it for example , then it will mean householder .
wow ! so just like the English way only an S in the end of the word ! , but I remember once I talk to Spanish girl from Chile and she said they have 2 kinds of singular one for male the other to female and the same thing with plural , I don't think Portuguese has much difference from Spanish :\ ....,
the funny thing is she gave me the word "Gato" as an example
and by the way we said Gato also in our dialect
sorry I am too talkative in the digital world :$
