Well the good news is I will start selling prints at the end of the month . Unfortunately only a limited number of prints will be made. As the images are part of a challenge I'm doing, I thought it would make it nice for those who have them to have something that they could regard as a little bit rare for their collections. (At least I hope haha).

Guess what. I met someone that's friends with Tegan and Sara's tour manager and they're gonna show them my deviantART gallery. It helps when you live in Canada. I bumped into some of their family here and now a friend of their tour manger. Too bad you live on the other side of the world.

I'm going to try to paint again like that, but a little more like Victor Wang. He's a Chinese American painter. I tried selling it twice before, but now I want to hold on to it until I'm an old man.

Same here - schools are shut, uni is closed for now (yeehaw!) BUT I had wanted to head to the Lakes for my birthday which I now can't do...still, tehre is something always beautiful and magical abotu snow! x

The pixel paintings are taken from photos which I use piant.net to modify them. The process is a bit long winded but I'd be happy to do a step by step guide for you

Paint.Net is cool, my computer died a while back and when I got it back it didn't have MS Paint anymore so I got Paint.Net to replace it and love it ^^
Is it a similar process to making multi-layed stencils? Because I've done some stenciling before, it was quite fun but I've only ever done stuff thats 2 or 3 layers.

Anyhoo, no problem, your art is awesome ^^

I've never really done a stencil as such (well I tried once but it was a disaster) I turn the picture to black and white and then posterise it. You can adjust the number of colours accordingly on piant.net which is great but make sure you shrink the picture first to make sure it'll fit on your paper/canvas. Then I use MSpaint to make the black part a different colour (When you put the grid on you can't see it in the black parts) and then draw it onto the paper/canvas using a pencil and ruler. I use 10th of an inch for each pixel.

The more colours I used, the more bog-eyed I got so I stick to about 9-10. But yeah, they're fun and easy to do but take ages

Oh and don't forget to draw a grid on it first...it helps a lot. One inch squared.

They are very simple to do just time consuming.

I started college last Sept, doing a diploma in Art and Design. I'm kinda disappointed in it though. Too much abstract for me

Just to confuse you here I am replying on my new page, hehe. I will be knocking around here more from now on.

Im doign good, uni doesn;t give me the time to create much, but I;m uploading better quality pics of my artwork and pastels on here. Hoping to get some artwork done over xmas if possible!

You'll have to PM me about your course, and I will fill you in on mine - Im serioulsy considering further education and another degree - more art based after this one - I must be mad!
