# About me
Credo:I believe, as did the ancient Greeks, that the female form is the embodiment of the divine. It is with this classical attitude that I photograph a woman's body. All of my models are collaborative artists and our mutual empathy is the fertile ground from which images of beauty and spirit may rise. Photography is my way of feeling, touching, loving, and revealing the Goddess within.
I have been involved in fine art photography for over forty years as a photographer and collector. The most fruitful seeds were sown in the early 1970's when I studied with legends such as Paul Caponigro, Andre Kertesz, Arnold Newman, George Tice and George Krauss. From these artists I acquired a deep appreciation for the medium and its expressive capabilities.
In 1998 I began a ten year endeavor which resulted in a world class collection of the most important fine art photography books of the late 19th and 20th centuries. This collection now resides at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester NH.

“When I've painted a woman's bottom so that I want to touch it, then [the painting] is finished.”

Thank you for the favourite, John and I couldn't agree more with your interpretation of the classic fine art nude. It exactly surmises why I photograph the female nude and try to interpret its inherant beauty.

John, your work is simply astounding. By no means, I am a prude, but I often dislike the so-called "artistic nude" photography because I sense a voyeuristic attitude in it. Your perception of the female form, in contrast, in full of respect and true appreciation, and that I cherish very much. Thank you for all the beauty!
