I pretty much have no idea how things are going at Dalibor. I haven't looked in that general direction for years now. Mostly because I kind of hated this one thing about it--how nothing seemed to change and any significant change suggested by a member who wasn't a moderator or admin would be shot down immediately. I get it, and I know why the system is like that, but that doesn't mean I particularly like it. I like my roleplays to feel more like collaborative storytelling more than 'I'm just playing a character in YOUR world'.

These days I mostly stick to private RPs between me and one or maximum five other people. I've never been a huge fan of slice-of-life scenarios and playing with fewer people leaves much way for going on spontaneous adventure.

I told Cath for TWO YEARS that that system she had was going to kill the site. She, Kila, and that sycophantic lackwit Ruin (Nia and Reky left!) opted to ban me a couple months ago, for being "hostile". For just telling them politely that they're wrong Now people are leaving in /droves/ because I was one of two people that gave a flying damn about the other members' complaints. The other one was staff, and they demoted her for not kissing Cath's ass.

On Dalibor, unless you're Azh, Ruin, Kila, or Cath? You're nothing. And I'm just /waiting/ for those four to say something to me now... they wanna ban me for being hostile? Well, they'll find out what hostility /really/ is.

It blows because we invested a whole lot of time into it. I know how salty that's got to feel. I left a site for pretty similar reasons. The admins were treating the members who weren't flat out kissing their asses like they were second-rate trash. Now it's extremely difficult for me to become invested in a forum site again, which sucks because I've discovered that it's the most effective way to run an RP with more than one other person.

What kind of site are you running? I'm not really poking around for another weyr to join, so please don't take offense if I pass, but I am a bit curious. I like the ones with cool concepts, but the ones I've come across are saturated in members and I kind of hate joining established RPs as a newbie.

It's a Weyr. xD It's 13th Pass Pern. We've got species-specific mutie colors, ridable whers, a site-specific pet, no damn "only x amount of y color" bullhockey, steampunk-ish tech, a new craft (ENGINEERS WOOOO!) boss-ass admins (remember Lan? she's an admin here!), an Impression policy that's based on personality over all, and like.... well just generally COOL STUFF. xD

Glad you got that under control; I know it can be real tough.

Yeah, for now I'm sticking to the two or three private RPs I've got going on. I have been on a more mature/gore kick lately and Pern is not the time or place for that sort of thing. I've already tried worming in one character who has an unhealthy obsession into a Pern forum and he got turned down so hard that I decided against trying that again. I feel like playing very horrible characters right now. Even my most reserved one is a massive jerk and nobody likes spending time with him; but at least he's not likely to hurt/kill/mortally betray anyone like the other two folks I'm playing on the side.

Eventually I'll be in the mood to play nice guys/gals again and maybe then I'll get back into the dragonriding spirit. I haven't seen a dark/morbid/testy theme in Pernverse since Revolution Pern and that's kind of never coming back. I'm waaaaay to lazy, and busy to boot, to make a mature Pern forum just because I'm having a bad boy/girl kick.

Yeaaaah, my characters lately are pretty triggery though. The last guy I tried to make is specifically a creep that preys on children so I'm pretty sure that's a massive hell no to any public weyr ever. And I'm not sure you'd remember because I can't remember if you were there, but I had a character on Reky's very short lived site that was a cannibal. He doesn't fly at any weyr either--but honestly he only flew there because the system of crime and punishment was made lax due to zombies.

The douchiest character I can play that isn't a sociopathic maniac would be the bane of Tumblr himself, J'vi, who went out of his way to trigger people just because he came to attack people and honestly he's having a great time. It's his past-time to evoke the worst out of other people just because he's too slimy to have actual friends.

I'm just so full of anger inside that I make all these horrible people as kind of an outlet. In real life I'm actually just a quiet artist who makes people laugh with my general absurdity. xD

I'll keep you guys in mind though. If I ever feel like making characters who aren't jerks. I mean, there's this one guy I had in mind who's a bit rebellious but he's generally a good guy. He's kind of greaser-ish, but without the capacity to be a huge asshole for no reason at all. If he is, he's doing it out of necessity more than out of general dickery.
