If you haven't yet been, why don't you come up to Canada some time? I met lots of Aussies out west two summers ago! One was our tour-boat guide to Spirit Island, in Alberta; another cut my hair in a Vancouver suburb!

You're very welcome! Travelling sounds wonderful but I don't have any time at the moment and I'm nervous about flying, especially recently. I have been to Fiji in the past; that was a gorgeous place and I had a great time with my family.

Fiji must be beautiful. I don't like the idea of flying either, much to my wife's disappointment. She very much wants to visit Australia, among other places too far to drive to. I think I'd like to see the Sydney Opera House and New Zealand. I'm waiting for someone to invent transporters, like on Star Trek.

What I loved the most about Fiji was the people. The staff at our hotel were so kind and hospitable. They greeted us with a song in their native language during our first meal, sang us a goodbye song on the morning of our departure and if it was someone's birthday they would sing then also; everybody loved the Fijians. There were also lovely ladies throughout the hotel selling beautiful handmade jewelry. Breakfast was something I couldn't wait for in Fiji because it was a huge buffet that offered everything. They had hash browns, bacon, breakfast sausages, eggs made in every way possible, fruit, a selection of cereals, toast and lots of different drinks, from water to juice to fruit smoothies. It was a joy to wake up to a breakfast like that each day. When I was in Year 9 of high school one of our camps was to Sydney. I have been inside the Opera House and it is absolutely amazing and so beautiful; we got to look down on one of the stages; magnificent! If you're ever in Sydney, I also recommend the Sydney Harbor Bridge, Sydney Tower, Darling Harbor, Bondi Beach and the Blue Mountains. The camp to Sydney is one of my most treasured memories from high school. I really hope that transporters are invented soon.
