yeah I can't even help myself with tumblr. It's too addicting. Plus I feel less pressure to post art. Whereas here I feel like I need to post something at least once a week and it stresses me out.

yeah it's hard for me to feel that pressure. Idk why I do it. I think I read somewhere that to be relevant on dA you had to post a completed piece once a week or something. I'm just like welp, I give up. I'm too slow.

The most successful artist here certainly does, some have like 300+ deviations, some have less simply because they delete the old ones. Right now I'm more into a forum I've recently become a member of than DA. It's great not having to post stuff in order to simply talk to people and the members are a little more.... articulate than your common DA member, you know, "can u draw my oc for me in narutos arms pwetty please desu desu" folks like that.

ah giant robots... My first foray into anime was that genre. Though surprisingly I never have watched any of the Gundam series. Can you imagine?!?!?

I'm really excited for that 'pacific-rim' movie coming out. I've been waiting for live action giant robot movies outside of the transformer persuasion.

me too! I think it looks pretty cool. Their facebook releases some of the robot designs and production art. I can't wait for it to come out.

There really are not enough giant robots, esp live action robot movies. I'd love that genre to blow up! I think the transformers franchise is a good start. Even the cartoon was pretty good. BUT I DEMAND MORE. I want the whole range or giant robots. I hope pacific-rim opens and does well, maybe it will bring more giant robot movies/cartoons.

Although Bay is totally raping the franchise, and I've become sort of a Transformer purist/hipster, I'm still looking forward to the fourth movie - which he has stated might be the beginning of a new trilogy.

So, robots ohoy, I guess.

I just want to see one big robot punch another big robot in his big robot face. That'll make me one happy camper for years to come ^___^
