I like the fact that you have the guts to take on and draw the full male nude. So often in art we see just the female nude (I must admit I am at fault for this also, I am still coming up with the chuzzpah to stand in front of a mirror nude and draw). It is refreshing to see a female perspective on the male nude. The only artists who I know of who regularly draw male nudes are members of the gay community, whose work can be very powerful and even spiritual (like the photographs of Minor White, though he hid them all his life), but I think that it is unfortunate that this subject matter rarely leaves that communities boundaries.

it's great to hear that! although the female nude is incredibly beautiful (frequently the very symbol of beauty), the male nude is also beautiful. it can be powerful, threatening, and also vulnerable.

Yes the male nude can, although so rarely is it depicted as such, you have an excellent touch for reaching that more sensitive and more introspective side of the male nude.
It is true the female nude is the very symbol of beauty, yet of late it seems that most men and some woman, who paint or photograph the nude do so only in a ultra-sexualized fashion that reads to me as if associated with pop culture pornographic images rather than finding the beauty in the body or form itself. On deviant here I can look at a photographers, usually male, who have pages of female nudes, yet they are not posed to enhance their form or to be introspective of their minds and souls, but instead they are posed as if from playboy or hustler. And amongst those pages and pages of female nudes, these "artists" don't have the guts to photograph one male model, much less one in the poses they place the female models. I mean Robert Maplethorpe sexualized the male nude but he also sought out it's beauty and brought it forth as no one else ever has. As you can tell I have been somewhat disappointed by deviant in this aspect. Oh well.
