Wow...I'm not a car aficionado as you are, but had heard about you from a friend. VERY nice gallery. It's way cool to see someone with an obsession, living out his dream in photos. Hopefully, you will document your progress on that Buick in your gallery. Somehow, I think that's going to happen, and was in your plan book all along.

thank you very much, it always means alot to me to get comments like that. sometimes i believe the obsession is a little over my head, and at times i feel like they are really my only way to escape other things around me. other times i feel like im living out of my means by owning cars like these. then i remeber why i do, its because i worship times long past, when things had more meaning and less negative aspects. thanks for the comment, and you can be asured that there will be many pictures of my buick in interesting places.
news just for my new friend: the car hasnt turned over in 15 years..untill yesterday, i swear i shed a single tear for my new baby.

dude, i would love a mid 80s citroen..the ones with huge back windows and kick ass suspension.. i forgot the model, but those are cool. im too fucking tall and fat for an opel, and older benz's are a pain in the ass..but i would take a citroen.. those are really damn cool, but if my friends heard me say that, id be laughed at for months on end

That is a GREAT story! The great thing about this area is that it has so much color. That is to say...the people you run into are crazy! The only time I had more crazy people to run into was when I lived in Crenshaw for a few months. We go to sleep listening to our neighbors try to kill each other by throwing pots and pans and lord knows what else at each other here in Van Nuys, but NOTHING beats falling asleep to foot chases and the occasional gunfire somewhere down the street. My apartment got hit by a drive by not two weeks after I moved in...this, of course, appalled my parents, however, the experience of living in an inner city area has made my time in Van Nuys all the more enjoyable.
The weirdest thing that has happened in front of me in Van Nuys has to be the night I saw Cuba Gooding Jr. steal a Snapple from the 7-11 on the corner of Oxnard and Hazeltine. He took the bottle right out of the refrigerator, opened it, took a big swig out of it, waved at the guy behind the counter and walked right out the door. I don't know which was funnier...the fact that the guy behind the counter tried to chase him down the street as he drove away...or the fact that it was 3 in the morning and freakin' Cuba Gooding Jr. was driving around Van Nuys in his Cadilliac looking for a Snapple to steal. I guess...when you're thirsty... you're thirsty.

i see him all the fucking time, and his brother omar, and the only reason i know his brother is because he was on nickelodeon when i was a kid. anyhow, i actually my main source of income is the pottery barn in fashion square, if you need anything, let me know, im quitting soon
