Yeah, it's been too long!!!  And happy birthday yourself!  I've been good, working out how to move forward with my series, may even release short-stories to expand the universe a bit.  Also starting plans for a sci-fi trilogy that I would write when I finish my current stories. (Wanting to start typing book 3 in August).  What about you?  How's the publishing been going?

I'm kind of swamped when it comes to publishing and writing. Not only has my usual chronic sleepiness crept up on me from time to time, but I'm currently scrambling to find beta readers for Emilio & Marigold (the Jack in the Beanstalk parody that I wanted to submit to the Hollow Hills anthology this year). Money is no object to me, but knowing who I'm shelling out money to is more important. Wish me luck! I'm going to need it!

Yeah, who you are giving out your money to is definitely a cause for concern. Sorry to hear about your chronic sleepiness getting to you...  I'm sure you'll pull through, you love your work too much to let it stop you.  A Jack and the Beanstalk parody, huh?  Sounds entertaining! Barely! XD It was actually kind of insane last semester. Things are settling down a slight bit this semester though. I'm trying to do at least one drawing a week, and I've started working on the novel again.

No, I hear ya.  I find time to check my DA page, but that's only like a couple minutes like twice a day (sometimes more, depending on the day).  I actually have to retake two classes because of how last semester was for me...  Not proud, and I've never had to do that before, but at least I'm not the only one in either of those classes.  I've managed to keep to one chapter a week (writing ahead like I did saves me once again XD), but drawings I've been inconsistent on.

Good luck!  Keeping a schedule does help, I'm sure.  Writing can get burdensome when stacked with school, so I would recommend getting yourself a few chapters ahead before you get posting, that way you can keep your schedule (whatever it may be) even if you can't get to writing new content for a bit.

Oof on retaking classes. I haven't had to do that, but I was very scared for about half of last semester. Good to hear you aren't the only one though. It looks like you've been quite productive updating old chapters, and plunking away at the new book. I'll need to find time to continue reading the first one XD

That's some good advice. I think for right now my plan is to simply write a page or so each day before I have class.

Don't worry about the reading, as I've said before the story will be there whenever you go for it.  I even have it all organized nicely in its appropriate folder.  And the writing ahead thing really helps.  Last semester (end of summer break all the way until winter break), I had only written like five chapters during its duration.  When I was writing TSW, I was doing 1-4 chapters a week (editing not included, I do that in separate sessions in place of writing).  Given that, I was still able to upload weekly and was still ahead at the end of it all.  So yeah, major stress relief (not that it did me too much good XD).

A page a day sounds like a good way to go, it'll add up fast (1 week would be about seven pages, which equates to a 2000+ word chapter).  No matter the case, I think people will respect that you have your own life to live, and other things take priority.

I use 12pt font and 1.5 line-spacing, but I'll mess around with fonts XD!  Don't know why, since they don't translate to websites like this anyways... Guess you're not the only one that writes in a weird font, though single spacing seems like it would save space and put more words on a single page.

I use 10pt font, because of an English course I took. For some reason I like the way it looks, and it definitely puts a lot of words on each page. But that's fair about it not translating to the website XD

I use word documents when I write, and then I copy and paste everything over when it comes time to post.  Same principle with updating chapters.  I do have to check to make sure the indentations match, but my line breaks and italics seem to transfer over with no problems whatsoever.  Wattpad gives me a bit more trouble though XD

The first line is NEVER indented already, not a single time XD!  Other than that, there'll be random lines that aren't indented, no pattern at all!!!  I feel like STASH just likes to screw with us XD

Can't indent with tab key, line breaks don't always transfer, sometimes separated lines will be attached to one another, and I've had times where italics didn't transfer properly...  Fun...
