YESSS. ALL the Chaucer. Canterbury Tales is what I know best, but I love Troilus and Criseyde with a passion. Really should look at House of Fame again - I sort of had to rush through a bunch of his stuff really quickly for college, but next year I may get to do a whole module just on him, wheeee.

OOH ALSO: if you are into medieval stuff, do you know Pearl? If you can get past the dialect I imagine it would be your sort of thing! It's really beautiful.

Yes, I do know Pearl; I actually used it for literary analysis just this semester :3 I think my favorite dream-vision is Dream of the Rood though.

did I ever mention that if I wasn't getting the Masters in Writing I'd be doing a PHD in medieval literature? I still partially think I should be doin that instead :\

Pearl is my favourite thing! (spoilers: I pretty much weep every time I read it, aaaa huge sap) Particularly love the description of the garden, it's almost like medieval science fiction <3

If I end up going further into academia when I finish my BA, it'll probably be medieval lit, I have to say. If I can avoid ever reading Piers Plowman, that is, because aughhhh.
