Colouring is all practice. But 2 years ago, I hated colour with every fibre of my being. It's just practice, observing what other people do, and trying it yourself. Invest in some prismacolour pencils for hand-colouring. They are pretty much of the highest quality. The prismacolour markers are nice, too, but right now I am leaning toward the Japanese Neopiko brand markers for anime-style colouring.
