You and Charlie seriously need to look for an action film made in the late '70s called 'The Wild Geese'. It's about a group of mercenaries in South Africa, and it stars Richard Burton, Roger Moore, Richard Harris, Hardy Kruger, and Stewart Granger among others. How cool is that?
And, oh yeah, Joan Armatrading does the theme song. I think it was her only film soundtrack.

Sorry about not commenting on your work, but it's partly because you being duct-taped to the floor kinda freak me out (I'm one of those guys who worships my women by caressing them in the shower, not abuse them with industrial strength adhesion material) and partly because my life has all of a sudden gotten full of things to do again.
Fairly lame excuses, I know - but I hope you'll accept them. Hugs to ya!

I do appreciate that you picked "Staying Connected" as a favorite the other day. Thanks for hanging in there with me, with all the wonderful art there is to see here at DA. I hope you are well, and that your dad is doing good. When I have a few minutes I'll be back to read your journal, see your pics.

I'm relatively new here and am unhappy to learn that there once was an erotic section and now there isn't. Makes is much harder to find likeminded deviants.

That is why we're gathered here to cheer.

to answer a question, yes, I was asked to take a look at the comments zero made.. by zero. do i think them childish.. yes. do i like the art expressed.. no. do i have enough experience, knowledge, wisdom or maturity to argue my reasons and therefore pronounce any sort of judgement or even condone or dondemn? no i dont.
therefore... Keep doing what you do, i'll keep writing my crappy poems...
and God be with you.
And substance abuse isnt really that bad of a guy, he's just got a serious drinking problem and is enamoured with the idea of being an ass. once you get past that, he's a rather genuine human being, and rather original in his writing.. the latter being a big part of my forgiveness.

There's a very important thread in the subscriber forums:
[link] If you're a paid member you should check it out. Here's a small sample of some of the comments in that thread. Read the thread to find out who said what and to learn more about what's wrong with Deviant Today.
"This does not mean that people are inherently 'bad' but there IS a
certain sense in some, that the anonymity provided by the internet,
allows one to be disrespectful and rude, without any 'repercussions'."
"Then, there are those who follow seniors and staffers around, hoping to learn from them. Part of the problem with this is that these people
aren't always (unfortunately) the best examples, either due to lapses in applying policy or adhering to policy."
"Could possibly be, but the problem I run into most of all is lack of
respect. Respect for the rules. Respect for the site. Respect for the
admins. I've had to warn people once, twice, thrice about offensive
comments or policy violations before I have no choice but the ban them. The fact is some WON'T listen."
"I rarely pay attention to people who gripe about crappy submissions and such because it's a waste of my time. I look at ALL of the art because it comes from someones mind. That's fascinating to me. Obviously there will be people wither a higher grade of artistic talent, but all art should be admired, no matter what grade you think it is."
"One nice thing about DA is that we're not limited to regarding single
pieces - we can view a gallery and see a progress of work. Besides
being better able to see improvement and tendencies, we can also see
more readily when someone has that "spark" of real talent."
"That is, as long as there is worthwhile criticism available,
there will be artists drawn to it but good art won't
necessarily draw good criticism by the nature of the medium
of the internet community."
"Where is the naked honesty of "YOU are responsible for creating a
wonderful DA experience, with each and every action you bring here"

I'd just to say again - thanks to all the standup deviants who have supported myself, Lynney19, Scarredbeauty, and all the rest of the hard working deviants who find themselves victims of roving gallery bashers.
DeviantART is a community and to be part of that community means to give. Those who give, get and those who take will find that the community has no place for them.
And to some others? Proverbs 28:1.

personally, i took a look at your gallery, not because i was asked to, or even because i am a friend to many other deviants, so right off the bat, do not even bother mentioning that.. this is all from the viewpoint of a personal opinion ... about my feelings about your photography.
i personally think you did have some very good ideas, however, the execution of many of these really does leave something to be desired, I also am personally glad there is now a filtering system on Deviantart for some of the stuff i have seen,
I am by no means bashing you, you have a good eye for photography, and I had just stopped through after talking to several people online ... this is just an opinion, yet i have the impression i am about to be flamed by numerous people fro attacking your gallery, i am the first to admit there is a lot of non spectacular stuff in my own gallery, i just happen to go through a lot of photographic work here at school, and online.
There is just some stuff here that I do not really get, nor feel that belongs on this site, but this is the case with almost EVERY deviant on here anymore...
be well, and keep at it.

Thank you for your honest opinion and for taking the time to look through my gallery. I am in no way offended. I know my work is not liked by all and thats ok. If everyone liked everyone's work then none of us would grow as artists.

Best wishes especially to Danaan-Lugh, Darkkorbit, Boo-fucking-hoo, Drackar and especially XiasiaDeigo - your sense of humor was much appreciated at 3:00 a.m. when things looked darkest.
Deviant may not be the best of all possible worlds but with people like this it's a place worth working for.
