We have the same camera :B (Canon AE-1) I love mine, but found the whole light meter thing really difficult to get used to. Sorry for the randomness...

maria,
you have an amazing gallery. i saw the dd and thought it was cute then i read the description. that's some heavy stuff. i was really touched.
you have great talent in dealing with the darker side of life, presenting the realities of this world that are often ignored because well we just don't want to recognize that something is wrong.
you art is an inspiration. thank you for sharing it with us.

That's exactly what I have been trying to convey. I want the viewer to look beyond the aesthetics or image itself. The image is only part of the piece to understanding it. You have to look at as a whole and question the intent.
Without the description there to aid your understanding, what would your original conclusion have been about the piece??
Thank you for your comments. They are appreciated...really they ARE!!

i was drawn by the colours of the piece. it looked like the pictures from those old books i had when i was little. you know of those farm animals, saying this is a rooster, this is a berry...
i think that's such a unique idea, since we all connect that type of imagery to the innocence of childhood. the subject (of the description) never really crossed my mind before i saw your painting, just thought i'd look at something nostalgic. but you changed my outlook. or atleast raise awareness on something that wasn't even on my mind before i saw it.
yes, i talk to much. again, your art has a message. i think it means something to this world. i look forward in seeing more of it in the future.

You don't talk too much. The input is great. It's just an added incentive to talk with other DA members who share a love for the creative process. Keep in touch. I truely enjoy these conversations of ours.

aaw... thank you so much for ~watch ing me *gives you a big piece of a choclatecake*
And you've uploaded so many new pictures... I'll just have a look at the new ones
And thanks for the compliment too that's so nice, but there are a lot better photographers here at dA... I'm still learning so much every shooting I do - you won't need 20 years, you'll get better with every single shot - just keep up the great work.
