About Martin WerkmanMartin Werkman - Sensational Percussion - Martin Werkman Born in Holland Martin started playing drums and percussion at the age of 14 years old. Studied under the Latin percussion master Changuito and Robert Vizcaino, both from Cuba Martin lifted up his skills to a higher level of professionalism. Extensively touring Holland and neighboring countries with the African Percussion Dance Group LE CRI. His talent was not hidden and he played over all Europe with leading Latin Groups and Formations. Also in Asia his name and perfectionism was not unfound which resulted in supporting several Korean Artists such as Kim Jun and other leading Koreans. Leaving Korea brought Martin to Jakarta in Indonesia where he played with the famous saxophone player M. bong and the well known Brazilian Group Marracatu. The American R&B Band hired Martin for residency at the Conrad Hotel in Singapore with the American Band Angkor. The last years Martin works and produces extensively for various Thai Artists within the Grammy and RS empires, such as Ford, Nicole, Marsha, Pom, Authobahn, Bird, Hart, Soul After Six, Semet and Punk. The percussionist follows the rhythm of life with other residency gigs such as in the Sheraton with jazz pianist Scotty Writh and Randy Cannon., played with Mambo Asi from Cuba of which he also recorded their album. Other five star properties followed his talents and hired him such as Novotel, Lucifer, Sheraton. During the years his stars were rising and become often requested by Thai Artists such as Jacky Wow, the Funk Machine and Mr. goh Saxman and Khun Tewan.
