Hello! First of all, thank you for your support, it means a lot to me ^^
So to answer your questions, I actually became interested in digital art in the summer between sixth and seventh grade when I moved to China, after playing around in MS paint XD
I got my first tablet a few years later after my interest grew, and believe me, it was hard for me at first too! I watched and read A LOT of tutorials, which is nothing to be ashamed of haha I'm not even that advanced in photoshop yet XD So I never had any formal training for digital art, although I used to take traditional art classes as a child which built a solid foundation for basic skills that will come in handy. So I hoped that helped and answered your questions! Feel free to ask if you ever need anything else ^^

Thank you for replying Yes, that was very useful, thanks I have a pen enabled windows ThinkPad so I guess the only thing left to get is a drawing program. I managed to find some good ones and I'll play around with them whenever I have some time. It's just that I can sketch on my tablet just like I do on paper but.... what do I do after that? How do I get the 100% clean lines? Do I trace over my digital sketch and make it perfect or are there specific digital "tools" for that?

Yes! You just trace over your sketch on a new layer and to make adjustments and add detail >w< 
I'm not sure about other programs, but on Paint Tool Sai there is a stabilizer for shaky hands; there are also like, curve tools (not sure what they're called XD) things? They make perfect lines but look a little more artificial in my opinion ;w; 
In any case don't worry if your lines aren't perfect at first, just keep practicing!

Oh, yes, right! Curve tools, I know what you mean! So that's what those are for.... I played around with a few different programs yesterday night and I now I think I like SketchBook Pro Copic Edition because the lineart doesn't have to be perfect for the drawing to look good. The drawings that are made with it have that sketchy feel to them and I think that that's great for someone like me who's always drawn on paper. Thanks for the help I guess that all that's left now is to practice, practice, practice and practice I have to admit that I'm a little scared....
