Realistically though, she has a similar attitude as me. She'll cut off conversations because she has little patience for (what she considers) stupidity. A really ironic attitude, in her case.

I don't know. There was a conversation she had with a former friend mine called Joeisbadass where she debated with him for quite sometime. Still I find this amusing from Libs. On that Salon magazine I mentioned there was an article of how Republicans only won because of racist Jim Crow laws and they hate Obama because he's black and they're from the south. They seem to have short term memory loss of who made those laws in the first place

MY friend I noticed something. In all my debates with libs I have noticed the surefire way to win is the minority card. Usually my debates with them somehow end up with them accusing me of being racist. After this I drop the bomb of my sexuality and ethnicity. I have yet to meet a lib who dares continue the conversation after that. How do your debates with them usually go?

A little differently, but I think it has to do with how I debate. Mostly, I try to be neutral-toned in debates: avoiding the use of any personal accusations or outright statements of intent, only of results. That makes it difficult to accuse me of being anything. They'll say that Republicans in general are racist, sexist, etc, but rarely refer to me personally that way. I also refuse to let them decide the tone of the debate. Tempting as it is to let liberals humiliate themselves, it's always better to just give them enough rope to hang themselves with. Allow them to state one piece of "logic," just one, then hang them with it by showing how their argument can be debunked by their own faulty logic. It's a particularly fun tactic to use on members of the First Church of Global Warming.
So in short, my debates with them typically end with them just not answering anymore. Unless I don't have the patience to deal with the stupidity, which has happened more than once.

Anyway I continued the debate and she replied back that you and me and the Republicans are just racist and need to apply to a broader base and that voter I.D is just another Jim Crow law. My friend I have come upon something interesting. Remember way back when I made that EDL piece. Well the guy I noticed something about Insanity and the others who I argue with. May of them claim to be anti-religion and from the LGBT community. However whilst they rabidly bitch about Christianity and Christians but give Islam and Muslims a free pass (as you can see by sanity's raving). Why do you think this is? ~ C

To be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure. It's always puzzled me that people who claim to be anti-theist and gay/bisexual/etc (or at least supportive of it) defend the people who hate them the most, and hate the people who are at worst divided on the issue (at least 3/4 of the Christian institutions in the US are supportive of gay marriage - most of the ones who oppose it only take issue with being forced to perform them when they personally believe it's wrong). The best I can say is because they work on emotion, not logic. Liberalism is a religious cult in it's own right, and every liberal subscribes to it. And ironically enough it's the supposedly anti-theist ones who are stuck in it the most since atheism has no platform of its own (aside from saying that all religion is false, but that's hardly a set of rules to live by). Liberal atheists work on a whole different set of rules than conservative ones.
The problem with them is that instead of rejecting religious authority altogether, they have just replaced the authority of God and/or Allah with...something. I don't even think they know what.
