Kdin was born in an isolated place just off the coast of Canada in 1989. His father was a human, and his mother, a beautiful onyx dragon/human. He grew up alongside his mother for his early stages of life, learning the ways of the dragon. As he was just reaching his 10th birthday, his mother was trapped and shot to death by 6 'heroes'. They had not noticed him, so he escaped unscathed.He then went into a village, becoming the 'apprentice' of a local mechanic, where he learned all his techniques. Though for 10 years he had practiced with metal, fixing cars and boats, he makes mistakes often. His forte is wielding, because then he could use his fire breathing powers.
Because of his isolation for the first 10 years of life, his social skills were undeveloped. He lets his emotions run wild and has no filter.
Though he has been around humans for about 15 years, he didn't start conversing until about 6 months ago. He had learned sign language up into that point, but now that he's meeting newer people he decided it was time to actually speak. His language at the moment is very broken and needs some work, but he is getting better at learning it.

" You're so.." Maiko breathed," .. Colorful." She finished, words laced with a bit of envy. She lacked color, she herself being monochrome.

"And you're black and white! You're the first black and white girl I have met, you're so very pretty..!' He said excitedly, making jumping up and down slightly. He didn't know the term, but she looked like some pictures he saw in the shop, which he thought was amazing.

" Pretty..? O-Oh, thank you sir.." Maiko nodded, her whitish cheeks heating up and tinting gray - since she didn't blush color like everyone else. She could have color, she would never be color. She lowered her head a bit and lifted her foot, a bit surprised by the fact that the ground beneath her shoe had drained of color.

He nodded, his smile never faltering "Oh it's my pleasure!" He squeaked out, looking down. He had seen her take the color out of the ground, and he was utterly fascinated. "How'd you do that?" He whispered, pointing down to her feet. "That's so cool!"

His fascination completely confused her, he wasn't terrified, or disgusted by her presence? Was she in some world different than her own, yet still monochrome? " It isn't like I intentionally did it.." Maiko replied, her gaze following his fingers to her feet. " If I touch something, it looses color.."

"So let us say, If I hug you.. I will lose my color?" He asked, fully prepared to hug her. He thought that maybe she hasn't had a hug in a while because of what happens. It didn't matter much to what she was doing, purposely or not, he just thought she was so cool.Β

" Yes, that's true." Maiko replied with a nod, however paused and quickly took a step back with her hands raised in a defense motion. " Don't get any ideas! I do not like hugs, due to personal space issues and the whole color drainage! "
