hairpieces? you mean the wigs for the kigurumi masks? they're normal wigs, just cut apart and combined together. most kigurumi masks take about 2 1/2 wigs to fully cover

it's actually more rough up close, but the mask itself is made of fiberglass, and usually spray painted, giving it that smooth texture

they're called "Kigurumi", and yea, i get told their both creepy and cool all the time lol. there's a lot of people that wear the masks in japan, both as hobbyists, and professional stage show performers. it's still a growing fanbase outside japan though.....

I think the idea is cool, you get to look more like an actual anime character, and you can hide behind the mask if you wish. But I think that is also why it is unsettling, haha! Do you make the Kigurumi masks yourself, or is there a place to purchase them?

there's a lot of places to purchase them, as well as tutorials (almost all are in japanese) of how to make them. all masks are made by other people who do kigurumi themselves. and yea, it gives a very "living doll" like aspect to the whole thing....i've always wanted to get a Dollfie Dream that looked just like my kig and walk around with the doll while in kig

I will have to look up some tutorials, I don't plan to make one for me, but I eventually want to make a persicom computer, and making a decent looking head will be rather important!
Dolfie Dreams are pretty cool looking, but they are expensives 0.o
It would be awesome to see a matching kig and dolfie! Funds allowing, I think you should try to do it!
