Well last year was probably the busiest year ever for my branch at work, which is one of the reasons I became so inactive here - keeping up with dA was starting to feel like a chore. But HOPEFULLY new procedures will mean this year is less crazy and I shall feel more motivated to come here! But yeah, I was on holidays in January and that was fun, and things have been pretty good since I got back. I've hardly drawn anything this year, though - I really need to get back into it and submit some stuff. O_o

I took like a 2 year break from drawing and had to essentially reteach myself how to draw :\ After my spouse got back from the navy I just didn't want to draw at all pretty much. I don't know what recently got me back into drawing, but every other day I draw now.

O_o I don't think I've ever taken that long a break from drawing - that must have been crazy to have to reteach yourself to draw. But I do go through phases of drawing constantly for a while and then not feeling like drawing anything. Same with writing - last year was probably one of my lowest periods for writing, but I've been doing a lot over the last few weeks! . . . Mainly pointless stupid stuff, but hey, it's all practice, right?

Practice is indeed good. I always feel guilty for not drawing for a long time, and I try to draw and get angry at myself because I CAN'T draw because everything looks childish and weird. I don't normally write things, everything that I write I just think out in my head. I'd be the head of a fanfiction site or something if I DID write, I enjoy doing it, I just like to ramble. And it'd be weird and awkward because my style of writing changes dependent on how I feel.

Ah, yeah, the part about its name being added to the movie title slipped my mind. O_o So you're right, it will probably be the main pokemon, or "one of" the main pokemon. So far the movie is confirmed to have Celebi, Entei, Suicune and Raikou in it. Apparently the original teaser trailer (shown at the end of movie 12) showed Lugia and Ho-Oh, but nothing has been mentioned about them since, so they were probably scrapped from the movie. A lot of the teaser trailers for the previous movies ended up being totally different to the final movie, so that's probably what's happened again.

Who knows, they might even structure it like movie 8, with Zoroark (Lucario) being the main pokemon, Celebi (Mew) being the main legendary, and Entei/Suicune/Raikou (the regis) making cameo appearances. O_o

Aww, that's OK - I hardly ever write journals so there wouldn't be too many even if you did see them.

I've been thinking I need to talk to people more too. Most of the comments I seem to make these days are just about people's pics rather than talking to the person themselves. I should be more sociable! I have been pretty busy the last couple of months but hopefully I'll be able to be more active and talk to people more from now on.

Aaanyway, yeah, I'm pretty good at the moment. This afternoon I won the Pokemon Loto on Pearl and won a master ball! Woohoo!

I tend to go through phases of being active and inactive on dA. I should really try to keep coming here more regularly! The deviations in my inbox often pile up to 200+. -_- And I have a second account too, so I get just as many there.

Yeah, I never expected to win a masterball either! I hadn't even played the lotto on Pearl for ages, but I was breeding charmanders and figured I might as well check that too, and wow, I won! I do have a lot of traded pokemon from GTS so I have a lot of different IDNos, but it's still pretty rare to win the grand prize. O_o

Well, I think my favourite hobby would have to be writing. (That's why I have "wannabe novelist" as my artist type on my profile. ) I'm currently working on a series of pirate-themed stories, as well as a few other things on the side. I didn't do as much writing as I would have liked this year but I'm hoping that will change next year!

Other than that, I like video games and anime/cartoons, which would explain why I mainly draw Pokemon fanart.

Thats exactly how i'm being with certain websites at the moment. XD
I do come here regulary but I prefer to leave comments, replies, important journals and deviations until I have something useful for the artist.
If I do not have a useful comment or reply to say than i'll delete it. ^^

Which is why my comments always have thought and minor details put into them to make them useful for someone.
Ironically it was actually the structure of your comments that made me start waiting but it's a more efficient method for me because I have my lazy days and I have my superb talkative and helpful days

The best thing i've won on those lottery games is an Elixer although my sister has got the masterball before. Yeah the odds are astronomical to winning if you had only one I.D XD
I notice you like pirates quite a bit. Care to explain the inspiration it brings? =3

I love studying how cartoons were animated and drawn. If pokemon is on the tv then i'll watch it for that reason, although the japanese version is much much better these days.
I mainly draw pokemon art. I feel that anything else would not get even a glimpse from most people if it wasn't XD
However I do add the odd Zombie related picture and I may do some Call of duty and Left 4 dead things sometime. If it gets finished then you'll see a Deal or no deal picture too ^^

In a whole my hobbies are: Anime, Pokemon, Drawing, Writing, Animation, Making friends, Deal or no deal, Sonic, Xbox live, War games *even though I am very bad at them and spend most times moaning * and finally improving my abilities which some are very low o-o Very low.

If you ever want to write a story with me *Take turns doing chapters* then i'd be happy to fit some time in to do that. My punctuation can be rather bad at times but thats currently improving.

I have noticed that you always seem to write useful comments instead of just short cliched things. Even when replying to comments on your art you make an actual reply to what people said instead of just saying "thanks", which is nice because it feels more personal. With a lot of artists I end up feeling distanced from them because they don't say much or anything at all to me. O_o I understand that with the popular artists it would be impossible to reply to everything but it's still nice when people put the effort in to reply in detail.

Hmm I'm not really sure how to explain the inspiration of pirates. O_o Of course I don't really like sacking and pillaging but pirates just always have a cool atmosphere in fiction! I think my interest in them started with an old PC game called The Secret of Monkey Island (last year it had a remake, since you mentioned using Xbox live you might have seen it on there?). I really loved that game (and still do!) and it led to me liking pirates and other things to do with them like ships and the ocean in general. In fact my username here comes from that game, there's also an island in the game called "Melee Island".

I agree that the Japanese version of the Pokemon anime is much better than the dub these days. I think the dub went downhill after Pokemon USA took over from 4Kids. A lot of people complain about the new voices but I actually think the worst part is the writing - the jokes are never funny anymore and the show doesn't seem to have as much character.

As for writing a story together, that sounds like a cool idea, but I'm not really sure if I'd have time to do it. I also have a Pokemon fanfic that I've been writing since . . . 2002. -_- I'm reeeally slow at updating it. So, maybe if you didn't mind me taking a few months between chapters, we could do it.

Yes, I feel that if I just say "thanks" then I am hiding many possibilities and am hiding behind a stone wall.
For example, if I hadn't put my heart out in all my replies to you - would we still be talking right now?
If I went "lol yh thnks" or "ok" then I really do not think we would be good friends. ^-^
I find pirates in real-life pathetic, they're just "ransom this -ransom that" like they really will actually get away when the whole of their capital is tuned in, watching them on the news??
Pirates in fiction always seem to be humourous and even the most serious leaders have that liking to them though.
Cartoon pirates are sort-of like a parody to the real thing and I find them quite interesting aswell.

Alot of people like shooting each-other on war games, but would never do it in real-life - I can watch people die on games, but i'd probably die from a heart-attack if a body lay on the floor near me >-<'
I love the elements; fire; earth; water; air; electricity, etc and I could quite easily enjoy a good pirate movie or film if the acting isn't as sloppy as the pokemon anime - ((Well the anime is a cartoon so it's a little different there XD))

Team rocket have the occasional funny moments which make me laugh or giggle but I agree also on that one.

Well I would probably be doing chapters monthly or even one every year now I think about it, but it's still something we COULD try =3
I feel like that now, but you never know until you try ^^
