Most of the stuff on here is real art, meaning that if you sketch off a photo you will never be able to use it commercially or sell it or claim any right to original idea.

However, there is a category called 'Resources and Stock Images.' In there is a sub-category called 'Stock Images.' From there you can browse stock images and draw away. Some people put line art that they wouldn't mind people to color, others upload photos and textures. You can draw from those and all you have to do is respect the artists wishes. So if you do a sketch off someone's photo, most of the time the original artist just requests that you link back to them in the description and not to display anything you do with their 'Stock' off deviantart.

If you do sketch from someone's art and upload without permission then you risk someone recognizing the image and flagging you under copyright infringement. So don't stray too far from Stock Images for a drawing reference.

oh wow copyright ! ? i just get ideas off their art and draw my own thing i dont ever copy the exact picture lol sorry i wasnt clear ... but thank you so very much ... ill look into the stock thing ...thank you

No problem - yea, getting ideas is totally different than copying. Glad I could direct you to a good source of stock images though!

yeah i dont copy lol i like to do my own thang ! but thank you ...im teaching myself how to draw and i look at how the legs or arms or whatever is shaded and all that but i just love drawing and i want to get better ya know ... well laters ty

yup and it really helps to have all this great art to look at and learn from ! im getting better i relly wish i had a scanner so i could put my art on here but all i have right now is my poems and writings that i can add to my profile ..
