Hmm... designing the kimono...
well here are some tips.
1) Get some references. This is really important, because sometimes it's hard to find an idea for designing fabrics.
2) Pay a lot of attention for the design. Actually for kimonos, the more detailed they are, the better it will become.
3) Patience. This will take a lot of time and effort.
4) Practice!
