Yes :C It's over.
Too many people were watching it online and in their DVR's and they lost viewers. With people being able to skip through commercials, they lost a lot of money from advertisements. And since Heroes is a high cost show, as are most sci-fi shows, they couldn't afford to keep it up.
There are some things being talked about though. Either they will just leave the show as it is, because the ending COULD work, or they might do a two hour "movie" to finish it up. For a while they were talking about a really short season, but somehow I doubt that will happen, although that's what I'm hoping for. I would rather view one hour every Monday night for about two weeks than one big "movie" for two hours just once.
