How'd you go in english? I'm assuming you do advanced, which electives did you do?
π: 0 β©: 1
micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2013-10-16 11:09:48 +0000 UTC]
Ohh yeah (I liked the modules paper better than the AOS ah....)
English was OK but the time to write is never enough !!
I'm just so glad it's over, still got another eng exam tho
I did Frankenstein/Bladerunner for Mod A, Harwood for Mod B and Julius Caesar for Mod C.
The questions weren't too bad I guess, wbu? How'd you think you went/what electives did you do?

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2013-10-16 11:27:24 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, belonging is lame, it think I did better in that though. Yeah, Frankenstein and Blade Runner, was pretty happy with the question. I did speeches for the critical study, that was probably my worst essay and I did Conflicting Perspectives as well, my favourite module just because the questions are always so straight forward... and it was also pretty fun reciting Brutus' and Mark Antony's speeches in my room haha. Yeah, 40 minutes is not enough, that's why i wrote a shorter Conflicting Perspectives essay to buy some time for the other two. Oh god, I was so happy at the thought of never doing english again, but I think I would trade up my two histories for another english. The content is crazy.Β

Loool yeah I like mod c as well; all the modules are actually based on pretty good principles, but writing essays is hell, seriously. You do TWO histories?! LOL that sounds like overkill... I didn't choose any histories cos I hate memorising stuff, but later regretted it when I actually got interested into history during yr 11 ah..
Gosh those tests are coming up soon too right?? Good luck for those too! (I feel sorry for you guys, yikes)

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2013-10-16 21:31:11 +0000 UTC]
I agree, they were actually interesting but I didn't like Frankenstein so much, Blade Runner was pretty good with the context and reading the book prior to watching it. Yeah, modern and ancient and some extent art, the content is insane for ancient and it's really not that interesting but I am doing well in it somehow, I got second in the year haha. Yep, one on Friday then another on Monday, then I have this two week gap and one before and after my birthday. Oh and happy birthday! Have fun studying hahaha.Β

micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2013-10-17 13:03:19 +0000 UTC]
Ooooh nicee, keep up the great work for the histories then, I know you'll do amazing!
++ Thank you so much!
It sucks to have your birthday sandwiched between two tests (but two week gap wOW, I have roughly 2 tests per week, so mine are pretty spread out). But at least when it's all over you can celebrate it for reals??? Oh well, there's so many things to do when HSC is over hehehehe

Thanks! I know you'll do well in your exams as well. Yeah, but the last one's art and that's just like... putting my feelings down on a page. I know, I've stopped caring, once I'm out of an exam, all that info leaves me. Ugh, I have an ancient exam today and it finishes at 5, my biggest worry is getting hungry in the exam haha. Yes, this uniform. Gone, never have too see it on me again. When's your last exam?

Haha my last exam was yesterday!
Happy birthday btw!! Have a great 18th!
Good luck for art tomorrow as well!
P.S. Wanna go visit HRPS together sometime?

Yeah a lot of my friends' last exam was biology, do you do biology? The exam wasn't that hard. Thank you and thank you. I bet you're happy that it's all over. Yeah sure, I don't know what that is though haha.Β

micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2013-11-06 00:25:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeahh it was biology haha. I am stoked! 4 months to plan and complete projects and go new places and learn new things aaaaaah!! oH and I meant visiting our old primary school

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2013-11-06 00:44:13 +0000 UTC]
Oh okay, did you do communications as the elective? That was annoying. Yeah, at least it's art as the last exam, it only goes for an hour and a half. Haha, I've made a list of thing to do, are you doing anything for schoolies? Oh yeah sure, I'll put it on my list.
π: 0 β©: 1
micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2013-11-09 02:33:44 +0000 UTC]
YEAHH I DID those questions were weird.....I do have a list!! I kept writing up stuff on it to motivate me during exams hahaha (no actually I was just distracted ). They're all about going places and learning new things and gaming wohoho. What about you?

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2013-11-09 04:38:59 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that red light question... Oh man, halfway through my exams I started playing civilisation 5 and rewatching the Avatar: Last Airbender series, no not a good idea. Yeah same, mine is a list of things that I've put off for a year hahaha.Β

HAHAHA A:TL is really good ahh. I'm kind of disappointed how LOK turned out though.. I started to watch the second season because I was hoping it could redeem itself in my eyes but the same problems keep coming up and it gets really hard to watch because uGHH
And I-It's okay I ran to play Ace Attorney straight after trials finished oOPT. I should try the newer Civilisation games because I remember playing the older ones and they were pretty good.

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2013-11-12 01:00:59 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but it's getting better now, the two part avatar origins story was really good. Yeah it is pretty good, i was playing as Alexander the Great and having some background knowledge of the ancient Greeks made it really fun as lame as that sounds haha.
π: 0 β©: 1
micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2014-01-27 03:56:54 +0000 UTC]
Eeek sorry I haven't been on dA in ages; I'll have to watch the rest of season two then. But no that sounds pretty neat! Herrghh I should go and coach myself in ancient history too S__S
Are you going to university? What course are you going to be doing? *__*
π: 0 β©: 1
Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2014-01-27 23:51:45 +0000 UTC]
It's alright. Yeah, you do, hopefully with season 3 there's more character development and things don't revert back to the previous season. It made ME laugh so I guess it was pretty neat. You totally should, learning about the origins of things and past societies was awesome. Yeah, UNSW COFA doing fine arts, what about you?

Aaaaaah sorry for the late reply; went overseas!
I hoping to just crash lectures I don't do here and there LOL good to learn about random things. I'm doing Medical Science @ USYD because the biological sciences are so interesting asdashdashd; was considering media arts at COFA for a while but figured an art school would probs teach me more.
How's uni going for you so far?

And how was the first week for you?
π: 0 β©: 1
micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2014-03-17 07:25:05 +0000 UTC]
First week was pretty great, it seemed to pass by so slow (whereas 2nd week passed by ultra fast!). I think I like uni more than high school though; it's nice to meet someone new everyday because the cohort for every subject is so large; really miss my friends though. I'm also enjoying the extra exercise haha. I think this semester will go by really quickly.

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2014-03-08 10:34:22 +0000 UTC]
Haha, it's alright, I went overseas for a month as well. Ooh, sounds fancy, one of my friends is doing bachelor of science at USYD and had to buy this giant ass textbook. Yeah, biology was pretty fun, we learnt about how the eye perceives colour in the first lesson of one of my courses, it was nostalgic of biology in highschool. Yeah, I was considering that but also psychology and sciences but ended up doing fine arts. IT's good, but it'll take a bit to adjust, especially getting up at 6 on some days just to get to uni at 9. I know you just walk to uni from Redfern station, easy. We've just been briefed on everything and told when all our assessments are due which is overwhelming but after this week, I think it'll get a little easier... or harder, I don't know.Β

micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2014-03-17 07:23:13 +0000 UTC]
Oh sweet! LOL I haven't actually bought any textbooks...all my lecturers kept going on about how we didn't really need them anyway (o-o)". Ahh it sounds pretty cool that you learn that in class; biology in uni is pretty cool too! I'm doing the human biology unit so we're working our way up the different body systems and it's just really cool to see how everything works! Haha yeah transport is super easy for me; leave the house at 6:50 to get to my 8am lectures. But yeah, I'm sure you'll get used to it! Probably takes about a semester to fully settle in though.

Oh okay, most of it went by pretty fast for me (especially the prac elective), the tutorials are pretty slow though, we have a little 500 word response due by Thursday and it's basically english... The question is like, how does this film represent one of these themes. Yeah, it's nice to make new friends, I'm guessing my classes have less people than your's. Yeah, it's good, the waking up at 6 and catching a packed train isnt the greatest feeling though. Oh okay, yeah, that seems like the general view about textbooks, in highschool as well! Ah, that sounds awesome! I miss biology! We're learn about artsy fartsy stuff like, colours and colour theory and different art movements. Damn, I get up at 6 to go to my 9 am classes! Yeah, probably, I'm sort of okay with getting up at 6 and I bought a diary and actually using it to keep track of everything.Β

micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2014-03-18 07:13:15 +0000 UTC]
Haha yeah the fine arts and media arts degrees are all about essays and "expanding your thinking" (postmodernism...anyone?) The colour theory sounds cool though, well any technical art theory sounds super interesting and has a great grounding in science too. I actually like getting up earlier because it's easier to avoid the crowds that way? But yeah they're really packed for peeps who start lectures at 9am. Heard stories about peeps fainting (causing further delays as well). Yeah same, I'm using a planner (for once) and just HUFF PUFF trying to keep up with everything! Good luck for your response though! You're getting assessments so quick !!

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2014-03-22 23:37:03 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, contemporary art. Fun, we had this little homework task of visiting a suburb we're familiar with and exploring it from a new perspective to see how memories are formed how certain things can be triggers, that sort of crap. Haha, I'm ranting about it but all the courses are actually fun. Yeah, we finished the colour component and we're moving on to learning stuff in woodwork, then computing skills and animation I think. Yeah, I fall into that start at 9 category. yeah, 'medical emergencies' right? I know, I think i have a system going though, Thanks. Yep, one due on Monday and Wednesday this week and one due Tuesday next week. When's your first assignment?
π: 0 β©: 1
micehell In reply to Ellenoric [2014-03-25 09:11:53 +0000 UTC]
Actually that does sounds like a lot of fun! Uhh well Mine are mostly quizzzes...a random essays and group presentations + lab work and then major tests at the end of the semester. I've got a quiz next week Wednesday and another the week after + lab book marking. Most of my assessments are compacted later on in the semester (May and June seem particularly hellish...)

Ellenoric In reply to micehell [2014-03-26 07:54:54 +0000 UTC]
Fun yet very artsy fartsy. Okay, that alright, I heard all the quizzes were multiple choice from my friend. Yeah, I've got a visual analysis test for the end of the semester for my theory course. I've got something similar as well, the book marking isn't so bad if you take out an hour and write what you did in class though. Haha, that's how they get you, let you settle in first then boom. Crazy stress.Β

I'm using Photoshop CS (8.0) atm though, but they're both pretty nice programs.
